Lukas woke us up, "Merry Christmas!" and weirdly gave us each a small chocolate chip cookie. Why are we still here? I groaned in my head. Unexpectedly, the noise of the side door squeaking alerted all five of us.

"Lukas!" It was Kevin.

"Kev?" Lukas called out from our room, his face full of confusion. Kevin then sat his duffle bag onto the dark oak flooring in the hallway and explained why he was back so early.

"I'm sorry man, but my cousin decided to start some shit with my mom and me and shit went down, and I got kicked out." He started to unzip his thick brown coat and ripped off his dark-colored beanie from his head.

"Well, go out to the living room and watch tv or something. I can handle the girls today," Lukas stated. Kevin sniffled, and flipped his duffle bag over his shoulder, and headed to a different room. Lukas followed him and left us to talk amongst ourselves. I found myself writing a letter to my brother Owen, and in the corner of my eye, I could see Taylor writing a letter as well, I couldn't make out who it was for though. While finishing up my letter, I was rudely interrupted by Lukas hastily flinging the door open, allowing it to slam on the wall, creating a hole.

"This house is falling apart," I heard Chloe mumble under her breath. Thankfully, Lukas did not hear her.

"Kassidy, come with me," he demanded, glaring at me from the doorway. My heart jumped into my stomach, making me feel uneasy and my blood run cold. I knew he wasn't in a good mood at this moment, and I wasn't ready for what he had planned for me. I took the rope off from around my waist, and I stood up, pressing my hands on the wall behind me to help my balance. With my legs shaking as well, I stepped over my notebook, and the coloring page I had laying out. Kelsey, Chloe, and Taylor's eyes were on me, widened with panic. I finally made it slowly to the door where Lukas' arm was there to forcefully yank my left arm and haul me to the master bedroom where I had found Bryson's journal however long ago. On the way to the room, overthinking ignited, creating a small little panic attack in my head. What if he's going to kill me today? What if he's going to force himself on me? What if he's letting me go? Nope, definitely not that one. Lukas shoved me to the bed, making me fall face down on it. I have to fight if he tries to do anything sexual to me. I thought.

"Get on the damn bed!" Lukas ordered roughly. I could hear him trying to catch his breath as if he had just run a mile or two. I threw my left leg onto the bed, pushing out enough energy to heave the rest of my body onto it. As I turned myself over on my back, Lukas flew onto the bed, gripping my shoulders, pinning me down, and practically squeezing the life out of them. I could feel his slimy sweat dripping onto the t-shirt I had on.

At a leisurely pace, Lukas crept his head next to my left ear, and whispered softly, "You're the dumbest bitch I've come across." My eyes widened, I was speechless. He briskly sat up, his knees trapping my legs between his. "I mean, out of your friend group, you have got to be the biggest retard out of them," he insulted, chortling at his own words. Suddenly, he mumbled something under his breath, which was an aid to figuring out the reason why we had been held captive.

"Why the fuck did Destin love her..?" I immediately sat up, most likely creating a perplexed face.

"How do you know about Destin?!" I snapped, bringing my knees to my chest.

"It doesn't fucking matter how I know. What matters is the afterward. What matters is that I single-handedly tried to keep the four of you in the house, and allowed you to escape. I knew you'd come crawling back to me, because of you Kassidy! You're so fucking stupid!" If Lukas' words were objects, they would be impaling my heart just about now.

"I'm not!" I cried out, feeling tears streaming down my cheeks and neck.

"You are!"

"No, I'm not!"
