The door crashing against the wall had startled me. Forcing my eyes to open and the piercing hallway light to shrink my pupils. I made the figure in the doorway out to be Kevin. What a surprise...
"Happy Halloween, you shit pieces!" His voice was chilling, was it Halloween already? How long have we been here for...? I knew these questions would never be answered. No one spoke, so Kevin grunted and left the room, leaving the door halfway open.
"Didn't Lukas tell us that tomorrow would be a big day? And doesn't that mean today is a big day?" Chloe asked us, as if we were worried about that, "I think I forgot what my house looks like... never mind, I remember."
"I don't know how much longer I can take of this. I keep feeling like I'm going to faint and I'm dizzy all the time..." Kelsey cautioned. Her telling us that created another uneasy feeling in my stomach.
"Taylor..." I whispered, she was only a few feet to my right, but I thought I was able to wake her up. I could see her body form from a slouch into trying her best to sit up straight, as she groaned, and opened her eyes.
"Yeah...yeah?" She asked slowly, I was about to ask her a question when two familiar men slowly sauntered into the room.
"As I said, today is a great day! Do any of you know why?" Lukas asked, cracking a fake ass smile. The four of us shook our heads in an unknowing fashion.
"Because we're going to carve your stomachs like little jack o lanterns!" Kevin laughed, elbowing Lukas to laugh along with him. He didn't. I could tell by the way Lukas was acting, this wasn't a sincere moment for anyone. He was determined, and striving for something in particular today.
"No Kevin. Today, I'm going to gather the proof of having you rats locked in this house which I can use to get the big ass bucks I'm aiming for. There's no doubt in my mind that I will get it." My theory had been correct. He was determined to get a certain thing from us, and today was the day.
"Isn't Bryson getting the camera? What is taking him so damn long?" Kevin asked as Lukas bent down over Kelsey and untied the rope surrounding her, which kept her and the chair together.
"Yeah, he should be back any minute. Go check if he's back yet," Lukas said, as he pressed on the duct tape which held her wrists together, and the other set which held her ankles together. Kevin left the room as Kelsey began to speak.
"I'm starting to not feel my hands..." Kelsey whined, wanting him to take off the duct tape.
"No, you'll be fine. Don't speak again," Lukas demanded, shoving her farther onto the chair. He then moved towards me. I remained silent since I knew today wouldn't be easy for either me or my friends. He did the same procedure he did to Kelsey on me, then Taylor, and finally Chloe. Next, he lined the four of us up in the same way he had done the day before when he gave us our lecture. Kelsey on my left, Taylor on my right, and Chloe on the right of Taylor. Each of us together was facing the door.
"Alright, he's here." Kevin sighed as he brought in a rolling chair from another room and took a seat it beside Lukas. Bryson walked in not even a minute later holding a box with a valuable object inside it.
"Take it out, man. Don't be a little bitch about it," Kevin snapped at Bryson.
"Okay, okay. Damn..." Bryson then cut the packaging with his pocket knife and took out a Sony Handycam camera. Was this Lukas' "genius" plan to get his money?
"Are we filming a sex tape?" Chloe asked dull-witted.
"CHLOE SHUT UP! YOU'RE GOING TO GET US KILLED!" Kelsey snapped. Her face was beyond red with anger and all sorts of other emotions.
