"You live in the dark. When you decide to accept who you are give me a call." She bit out before storming out.
I sighed when I heard the door shake on its hinges when she slammed it.
I turned away and walked to the window to watch her angry march to her car that sat at the end of my drive.
I wished I could've convinced her that what she waned from me was impossible, that mt magics were not the answer to her problems.
But I knew that my warnings would fall on deaf ears. I knew because she reminded me of myself. Reminded me how my teachers had given that same warnings.
I also knew that Rose Thornspear wold have to learn the same painful lesson I had to years ago. That magic comes with a steep price, and that price can come at to high a cost.
I just hope that her lesson didn't coast as much as mine did.
I sighed again, whispered a protection on the wind, hoping that magic would bring her more than just heartache and pain.
