When I sit down next to the boy, I quickly type something in my translator. "Hello! I hope we can be friends! I'm Y/n L/n." When I go to show it to him though, he turns away, as if he were avoiding me. I bring it back and look down at my desk. While Mr. Aizawa teaches the rest of the class. I just sit and stare into space.

When the bell rings, no one gets out of their seat or packs up or anything. I instinctively grab my back pack and start putting my things away. I feel singled out because no one else is packing up. One person, however, comes up to me and taps me on the shoulder. *in japanese* "What are yo-" I stop them and point to my translator.

I type in a short message, "Please use this to talk with me until I learn some Japanese. All you have to do is point at it to let me know you want to use it." The student forms an 'O' with their mouth, then points at it. I hand it to them and watch them type something in.

"What are you doing? The school day just began. Do you really not like it here that much?" I smile at the little comment, and take it back. I type in another quick message.

"In America, the bell means class is over and the students go to their next class. I'm guessing the students don't ever leave the physical classroom here. Only the teachers switch." The student nods, confirming my theory. Then points at it again. I hand it to them and wait for them to show me what they want to say.

"My name's Sero! Nice to meet you L/N. Want to hang out with me and my friends during lunch?" I widen my eyes. I couldn't believe I had already made a friend outside of my host family. I nod 'yes' enthusiastically. The bell rings again and I get my stuff back out of my back pack. Sero goes back to his seat at the other end of the classroom. The teacher comes back in and I just continue to space out until everyone gets out of their seats.

I get up and follow the crowd, then everyone splits into two groups; boys and girls. I follow the girls, even though I don't know anyone. We go into what I'm assuming is either the bathroom or the locker room. I suddenly feel something in my pocket. Rather, lack thereof. I had left my translator in the classroom. I mentally face-palm.

I walk to the locker in the back, kinda away from everyone. I take out the gym clothes inside and change. As I am, though, the other students came up to me and tried to talk to me. I stopped all of them with a sad look on my face. I tried my best to tell them that I couldn't talk to them. After a solid 30 seconds of struggling, a kinda tall girl with a solid black ponytail stepped up to me. A translator coming out of her arm and falling in her hand. She hands it to me.

I look at it in shock for a moment. I type in "I'm sorry! I left my translator in the classroom and I don't want to go back and get it. I can't speak Japanese, but I can speak English and Spanish." The same girl motions to the translator and I hand it to her.

"It's fine. I actually think you'll be great friends with our classmate, Sero. He also speaks spanish!" She smiled at me as she showed it to me.

When we all finished changing, we exited as a group. I kept my new translator in my hand while we walked. We walked outside and waited as a class. I didn't see anyone else, so I'm assuming we're out here before the boys. We just chatter, and I get introduced to everyone.

A few minutes later, the guys showed up. Another girl, with pink hair and pink skin went over to the same guy who came to my desk earlier.

*Timeskip till lunch*

I stand in the lunch line, waiting to get some food from Lunch rush. I point to what I want and he just puts it on my tray. I go to find Sero, but I don't really know where he is. The lunchroom is huge. So, it takes me a while to search some of it. I finally find him sitting with the pink skinned girl, two guys with blond hair, but one of them had a cool black streak in his hair. He also sat with another guy who had bright candy-apple red hair.

I sit down next to Sero and take out my translator. "Hey, I was told you speak spanish. Is that true?"

He reads it and nods his head yes. Then responds with *in spanish* "Yeah, I didn't know you could understand Spanish."

I smile and say, *in spanish* "Yeah! I thought I would have to use a translator to talk to everybody! At least we can actually talk!"
