Midoriya's P.O.V.

"W-what?!?" Y/N said confused and completely caught off guard. "W-why?"

I let my eyes dart to her shoes and she noticed. Her eyes flicked down to them as well. Around the bottom of the soles there was a dark red stain creeping up the side fabric of the shoes. Her eyes went wide as she realized this fact.

"Because we j-just want to help y-you." I said.

"NO!" she shouted, obviously scared, overwhelmed, and panicking. She jumped up and it sent the chair falling back onto the floor behind it. She fell to her knees as the sudden weight on her injured feet pained her. She shakily tried to stand again, when she was on her feet she took a few rushed steps backwards before falling again. I stepped forward to her and sat down on the floor beside her. She quickly slid away putting her legs under her so that I couldn't touch her shoes.

"P-please?" I quietly said.

It seemed to strike a cord in her heart because the second the word left my mouth tears welled in her eyes. She buried her face in her knees and I could hear muffled sobs. She was now in a fetal position with her feet towards me. I didn't want to do anything against her will, but I reached out and began trying to untangle the mess of her laces. They weren't tied normally, but there was a series of knots that made it very difficult. I untied the one shoe and began on the other one. I didn't take them off because I didn't want her to realize what I was doing too much. Her sobs slowed as I realized she was in her distant state again. I finished with the last knot of her second shoe before trying to snap her back into reality.

"H-hey, Y/N?" I gently said.

She showed no response.

"C-Could you please come b-back now?" I said a little louder.

Still completely unfazed. Looks like I'll have to use  Kacchan's way again. I didn't like it because it was violent, but if it was the only way to snap her out of it, I'd do it.

I hit the back of her head in the same place it was the last two times. Her eyes widened as she blinked a few times to clear the foggy glaze that was over them. She gasped, then, out of nowhere, she threw her arms around me and held on as if her life depended on it. My eyes widened in complete shock of her reaction.

"M-Midoriya?" She mumbled into my shoulder.

"Y-Yeah?" I looked over at Aizawa who was just watching the entire thing with half closed eyes.

"I-I'm... I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you... W-why... why are you still here even after I h-hurt you?" she quietly said on the verge of tears yet again. It hurt me to see anyone this broken.

"I'm h-here because you didn't know it was me. If you've been t-there as long as I think, it was instincts that you have to m-make sure you don't die on the streets."

"H-how l-long d-do you th-think I-I've been th-there?" she asked while now looking into my eyes.

I started to internally panic, I thought she was there for at least a year, but what if that was just where she went to hang out, and she happened to fall asleep yesterday from training? What if this wasn't what I thought it was and I'm freaking out over nothing!?

I realized I was mumbling when she put her face back into my shoulder.

"I-I think you've b-been there for at least a... year?" I said unsure.

She whispered into my shoulder and I could barely hear it:

"I-I... ... I've been there for ... six." she said the last part so quietly I had to put my ear next to her head on my shoulder.

My eyes widened and I immediately looked over to Aizawa who was now asleep. Great. Just great.

Six years! She's been there since she was nine! That's to young for anyone to be alone! Where's her family? Why is she alone? How does she pay for food? How often does she eat? Does she eat at all out side of school? I've never actually seen her at lunch! Or has she been there and I just didn't notice?!? How could I not notice my classmate until now, when I literally followed her to where she slept?!? Wow, I really am creepy. I keep several things about her written down and then I decide to follow her? Wow, Izuku, wow. Pull yourself together! Start talking to people, don't just stalk them!

I snapped back into reality as a muffled sob came from her.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'msorryI'msorryI'msorryI'msorry." she said into my shoulder.

"W-what for?" I asked, what did she have to be sorry about?

"Y-You shouldn't have to d-deal with m-me, I'm s-sorry I dragged Yo-you into this." she said through her tears.

"No, I'm sorry. I-I should've noticed yo-you needed help. A g-good hero w-would've."

She started crying harder and her fingers gripped the back of my blazer even tighter if that was possible. I finally was able to process things normally again and gently wrapped my arms around her and rubbed small circles onto her back. That's when I noticed the position we were in, a small blush creeped up onto my cheeks. It was also then, with my arms wrapped around her, that I could gauge just how thin she was under her uniform. I wouldn't be surprised if she ate little to nothing each day.

I made it my goal to figure it all out and make sure she was taken care of in a real home.

She slowly calmed down and her breath became slow and light. I looked down and to the side to see that she was asleep. she looked so peaceful when she was sleeping, her features finally relaxed, and her mind not having to worry about anything. She was probably exhausted too, each day she would wake up at dawn, walk to school, have almost nothing to eat, do school and training, and who knows what normally went on after school.

I knew we'd have to get her feet taken care of and she should probably rest for the day as well. I went to go stand up, but with her on my lap it was slightly difficult. She was very light and I could pick her up easily, it was that she was four inches taller than me that made it difficult.

After a few attempts and nearly crashing to the floor I made it up with her in my arms. her head still rested on my shoulder and I had one of her legs on each of my sides. If this were Kaminari or Mineta, they would be flipping out because my hands were under her thighs holding her up, But I wasn't a pervert. I was doing this solely to not wake her up and help her at the same time.

I walked up to Aizawa's desk and debated with myself of whether I should wake him up or just leave.

Apparently I was mumbling because Aizawa made me jump when he spoke.

"You and your damn mumbling, can't get any sleep with you around." He groggily said.

A/N: sorry if that ending is kinda just there, I didn't want to keep going, but I also didn't want to stop it in a part/paragraph before. also, sorry if any of my shit is confusing.

One more thing, Feel free to comment an ANYTHING! please, I don't care if most people would even consider the comment rude, I'll probably just laugh my ass off!
