The jeep was a flyer, tearing off the tarred road and piercing through the breezy wind on the road. I was speeding off crazily, because I want to make sure I closed up the gap lost. Mr Salahadine, had told me of how far behind I was, then a message came through, telling me that I am over speeding and should slow down. It was Mr Salahadine, I ignored it and was still on a high-speed. Then he send another asking if I suspect anybody on our wheels. The message showed again that, it from the sage, Mr Salahadine. I ignored it and was on a serious higher speed this time. Then it rung in my head, I did not save his number with " Mr Salahadine " everything and everyone is a suspect, and the die is casting. I used my left hand and pull the chip out, at ones it revealed who was sending it. How on earth did he know and who told him where I was? Then another of his message came through, " Mr Salahadine wants you to slow down, so that the chip can connect. And I was shocked even doctor Akatugba knows the sage. So who are my, and what's going on? That was when I checked the speedometer, and it was reading 310. At that I pull off on the speed. Restoring the chip it showed " the sage " . At this, I decided to just be on a page with the sage. A man can only die once, and only one thing can kill a man. What ever be the case, I will surely get behind it, or die leaving this world and it troubles to be.
The phone was on the left hand side of the steering, and I have to connect to the sage. Everyone was sitting innocently on his side, that you cannot suspect a thing, at least not while on the wheels. I pulled over and asked Lotanna to take over the wheels, as I went to seat at the very rear of the jeep with Ebere and my little boy, though not before refuelling the tank of the jeep.
The plan is that we run the jeep with it solar power in the daytime, and run it with oil in the night. But we forgot to run it with solar, and is been on oil, and so we needed to top it. While we were at it topping it, the sage who has been on the line, stunned me with first shocker. He said that he wants to let me know firstly, that Mrs Amankwa is the only friend I have there. I didn't know when I screamed " WHAT " on the top of my voice. Everybody turned to me surprised.
- Summerman! There are greater black truth than what you just heard. So are you ready to brace up or scream yourself to your grave? -
Ebere, came to me and inquires what the problem is.
- nothing, I made a grave mistake wasting the fuel, and we still have a longer journey to cover -
- don't beat yourself up, we'll get through all this. -
I looked at her once again, and remembered how we met and all that transpired. I need someone to communicate with, someone to offload some of this trashes in my head to, I was contemplating asking her if I could confide in her, her answer should reveal to me if I should or not, but the sage surprised me again.
- that's Ebere, your woman -
- how did you know -
I lost it again, Gabriella looked at me suspiciously, and I repeated it again facing Ebere, asking her how sure she is that we will overcome all this.
- don't stress yourself Soma, please -
Gabriella then supported her asking me to allow another person drive. She then told me of how scared she was, when I was driving.
Because the sage had said it, that Mrs Amankwa is the only friend I have among us, I kind of felt relaxed around her. She added to the conversation, asking them to let me be.
- Ebere is the only neutral person around you, she seem the catalyst of the whole movement. I believe she also confuses Mr Allahabad, she has no data of whatsoever. May be she is your own secret weapon, but mind you she could be more dangerous than any other person there. For now don't confide in her at least not yet. -
The jeep is well equipped with modern technology, the map app was something else, it direction was like the jeep driving itself, and the voice behind it calls you back the moment you are on the wrong track.
I sat at the extreme back with Ebere and my boy, when he continued. The sage told me that, the total system of the world is undergoing the torture of some group of people, who are holding it under siege. He told me that Amaka was an ally of a UNITED WORLD HEALTH BODY, and her mission was to get the "A" sample of the final test which they believed is in my custody, and after that poison me with a "frog liquid atom soluble cyanide", a substance not known by many, and been classified as the world most dangerous poison. Can only be in the custody of a special agent. But along the line something went wrong. - don't worry Soma, I took care of that immediately I got to know about it. There's no way I'll contact you, I don't want to risk your life, so I got Uche to work Amaka and Mr Allahabad into a relationship, and making Mr Allahabad see the poison -
I dare not move, I have really been in the dark, need to be more careful with my reaction. The second he said it, that Mr Allahabad poisoned Amaka with the same poison with which she would have me, Uche turned and looked at me and nodded in confirmation to what the sage is saying. That means Uche can hear also our discussion. He told me that I made myself a new friends, in the form of the health body, because of how I tried to save their own even though they know she wasn't going to survive it, even them don't have the antidote. They wanted me dead because they believed, that I worked with a terrorist group, but my action toward Amaka endeared me to them, that was why I was able to make it with doctor Akatugba.
Amaka decided to leave Ubaha-afor with me, because she knew she was going to die, she never knew who Mr Allahabad was, until he injected her with the poison. She was suppose to deliver what she got from me to doctor Akatugba, but I ended up delivering her to the doctor. Emeka according to the sage is Amaka's son.
Uche is his secret agent from his very young age, he discovered him on the net when researchers from Nigeria were researching, on the extent and cure of the state of his health and life. And when he discovered his qualities, he groomed him. Uche has been well since the past fifteen years, and got to know a lot about the happenings in Ubaha-afor, Uche still sees visions and is instrumental to the sages decisions.
Lotanna, until my father's death was his right hand man, but Mr Salahadine said that my father always tell him not to totally trust Lotanna, because he is always around the nick of things, especially about Lotanna being my mother's son from another man.
- Lotanna is a good man to an extent, extent, because one can not tell the true nature of the heart of man. I still have my reserve about him, I have seen him with Akatugba in a conference. -
I have seen him with Akatugba in a conference, said by Mr Salahadine struck a cord in my head, because, the two never behaved as if they knew each throughout our stay with Akatugba. And from the look of things, most workers at Akatugba's must be from the health body.
- Soma, Gabriella is not pregnant. They will never allow her to, she is a very important agent to Mr Allahabad, and her parent doesn't know about it, don't be surprise that you ran into all this people, the groups worked it all up, they are all interested in what you have, in your qualities, but be wise. -
Mr Amankwa according to the sage, is the CEO he made us run away from, he staged everything including his wife rape and all other, those boys are his boys, he works for Mr Allahabad.
- Somadina! I advised Mrs Amankwa to kill her husband, he is a daredevil. -
I looked at Mrs Amankwa and she nodded.
- only the three of you have the chip in all of west Africa. -
In the book of the sage, the Ibos, Hausa's, Niger, Yoruba, the Benin and Togo are called Nigeria, so to make it easier handling their cases. That I grew up with, that was what my father showed me. And so they did with other countries of the world. They turned the world to a global village with their map.
It was getting dark, and the desert is not where you want to risk traveling on in the night. We drove a bit deep into it, when the map app announced that we are driving deep into a desert, we did not even know we are already in a desert. We packed and built tent around the jeep. But if we are in a desert, how come we have elephant grass grown around everywhere, and they are long with tan colour, breeze blowing them around the way it does grains. It kind of look more like a field than a desert. I decided to lay on the jeep with my boy, I don't want to take chances, somehow I don't know why am more important to all this different group, that they all have interest in me.
Ebere was in the sleeping, she can't stay outside, due to cold.
Deep in the night, I noticed from far and different angles the grasses moving unusually. I stood on the jeep to have a better look, but couldn't see a thing. The grasses were all of the same look, everyone was asleep.
The movement was drawing closer, and I was struggling with who to really trust. Even though Mr Salahadine had analyzed everybody to me, I believe he is leaving me to make my decision on them myself. I think he must have faulted with the people around him, or they have became a sell out. On the video call he told me categorically, that am on my own, and now he pointed out some friends, which got me thinking that am in danger. I think he just wanted me to know how we have played into the hands of some dudes, and how much in danger I am. I opened the jeep and hand over the baby to Ebere.
I think Salahadine knew that this guys still have the chips, and deliberately spoke into their hearing, to confuse them, and secondly, what on earth are we doing passing through sahara desert, when the destination is Ouagadougou. If truly the movement am seeing is that of the scathed, have the scathed then gone dumb, cause I can't hear them. We are always leaving the keys to the jeep in the starter, but I had to collect it from Lotanna, when we stopped, he wanted to pocket it. On a second thought, the scathed don't make noise, unless when they knew they are after a prey.
We did not invite the scathed, they cannot just start trooping in the way they are doing right now. I still am holding fast at Salahadine saying, that am alone. We did not arrive here with noise, and did not make fire or make a noise after arriving, so the scathed beings have no business finding us, or are the ones here that sensitive? If I understand the trick we play while at Morocco very well, I think Mr Salahadine is actually telling me, that Mrs Amankwa and Uche are the black sheep here, if at all others are not to be trusted, the two are worse.
In Morocco there is this game we play in the school. " The Veiled Saint " Mr Salahadine introduced it, such that, when you are asked question, you'll give your answer which everybody will take as the right answer, but is not truly the right one, it would form a guide to the right answer, and how to know the right answer is, if you are able to discover what the concentration on the answer given is, then the opposite is the answer you are looking for. The concentration here is not the scathed, the concentration is not the tan grasses, the concentration here is the " CHIP " when Mr Salahadine relayed everyone to me, he made Uche and Mrs Amankwa acknowledge they also have the chip, and he had told me while leaving his office with Sarahdina that am the only one that have it, meaning that Gabriella and Lotanna are actually the veiled saints.
Then I began to hear the grunts and groans of the scathed approaching, I know we've been sold out, but not without a fight. I woke everybody up and informs them that the scathed beings are here. We picked our weapons, as they ran into us, I knew what I saw and there's no way we are going to escape this, they are really going to encroach on us, and if truly as I believe we are sold out, I think I need to make effort at making sure we all escape this attack. Whoever is launching this attack also want the informant dead, and I do not think he or she wants that. The scathed coming from behind are way much than the ones at us. So as soon as their numbers reduced, I made everybody enter the jeep.
One thing about tan grass, is that they are dried grasses, and so while we were boarding the jeep I lit up the grass, steering the jeep toward east, I sped into the night, we have not gone two seconds, speeding into the dark, when barrage and sporadic gunshots rented the air toward us, but this jeep is truly a flyer.
