"At the end of the day their Kooks, I'm a Pogue, we don't mix."
The next few hours at the marsh were uneventful.
Rafe and Topper didn't want to engage in any conversation with me so I've been pretty much talking to Sarah the whole time.
Despite what Kie says she's actually kind of nice.
"Uh-oh!" I hear a familiar voice yell.
I raise my head from where I'm laying on Toppers boat.
"Looks like trouble!" The voice yells again.
I sit up fully and see John b and JJ on the HMS pogue.
"Hey boys!" I wave to them.
"You wanna join us? I promise we won't bore you to death like they're doing" JJ questions.
I look back at Sarah "Do I care if I go with them?" "Go ahead have fun we'll talk soon" she smiles and I smile back.
The pogue gets close enough so I can throw my clothes onto it then I jump on.
I wave bye to Sarah and we take off.
"What are you all buddy buddy with Sarah now?" John b asks as I sit down next to him.
"No she was the only one who seem interested in talking to me" I grab John b's beer out of his hand and take a sip.
"Rafe seemed pretty interested in you" JJ retorts and I gag "That's nasty JJ." I roll my eyes and John b puts his arm around my shoulders.
"What you wouldn't date a kook Bee?" He asks and I laugh "Not in a million years"

After spending the rest day at the marsh we arrive at the chateau and I immediately collapse on the couch.
"I could pass out right here" I yawn and flip over to lay on my stomach.
"Don't sleep too long, Pope and Kie will be here in a few hours" John b throws a pillow on my bed which I happily take.
"My nap is more important, I see them everyday"
I snuggle my head into the pillow and knock out like a light.

My phone buzzes on the coffee table. I have no idea how long I've been sleeping for but the sun has set since I was last awake.
"Mm hello?" I groggily ask "Hey dad wants you home" Isla states from the other side of the phone.
"Telling him I'm staying at John b's" "I did, he wants you home like now!"
"Am I in trouble?" I stand up putting my shorts in while I talk "I don't know he seems pretty pissed and Amy isn't helping your case" "Shit ok I'll be there in a few minutes"
I look around the house for either John b or JJ.
I go out on the porch and see JJ vaping.
"JJ can you take me home please? My dads pissed." He nods putting his nic stick in his pocket and grabbing the keys to his bike.
We hope on the bike I hold onto him and he drives me home.
He pulls up as close to my house as possible.
"Thank you J, you're a peach" I kiss his cheek then pat it "Anything for you mama" he winks then drives off.
I open my front door and try to sneak up to my room before my dad can lecture me about leaving the kooks behind.
I successfully get up to my room and am able to set my things now and change.
"Beatrice! Get down here please!" "Coming!" I reply putting my hair in a low ponytail to get it out of my face.
I hop down the stairs and find my dad in the dining room.
"What's up?" I ask sitting across from him.
"Why did you leave Sarah, Topper and Rafe today?" He asks folding his hands in front of him.
"I didn't"
"Beatrice," he says in a serious tone.
"I was with them for most of the day then John b and JJ happened to be out on the marsh, they saw us and asked if I wanted to hang out with them." I shrug and play with the ends of my hair.
"Don't do that again" I nod and get up to head to my room.
Again?
"What do you mean again?" I whip around to look at my father.
"You're going to be hanging out with Rafe and Sarah once a week. You will be nice to them and you will make friends with them."
I groan and throw my head back.
"Dad please don't make me" I whine.
I really hated hanging out with them like I said Sarah is tolerable but at the end of the day their Kooks, I'm a Pogue, we don't mix.
"Bee, you're going and that's final" I roll my eyes "Yes sir"
