Journal Entry :
Even though I was sent to this weird world against my will, things aren't too bad.
Right now I'm sitting in the deck of an airship, writing into a journal that Xander gave me. Yesterday he turned to me with the normal enthusiastic look on his face before shouting...
"My compadre! I went out and got you this journal so you may chronicle the story of our growing party, that way we have the full, complete story of our justice seeking team! Ah ha ha!"
Xander likes to act that way, but I can tell there are cogs turning in that brain of his. Like how we even got on this airship in the first place.
Asking around I learnt that airships take fuel to move, but this one apparently doesn't. Xander said that it was because it was an 'Event Spawn' which meant it didn't take fuel for some reason. He said to me that...
"The goblins, including the captain, that spawn with the ship don't know anything other than looting and plundering! The gods decided to have mercy on them, giving them an inexhaustible ship so they don't suffer the fate of certain death when their fuel runs out!"
I wish I met that god. He might have actually given me a choice instead of doing as he pleases.
"Raymond! My compadre! You are doing well, chronicling our every move in this treacherous world!"
Xander came down to the cabin of the airship, finding Raymond who sat behind a desk writing with a feather pen. Touching his chin, Raymond turned to him with a puzzled look.
"How do you spell treacherous?"
"You don't need to record every word I say, even though everything I say is sage advice!"
Clearing his throat Xander got his attention, Raymond shutting the journal, the special ink drying immediately.
Squeezing his fist, Xander spoke loudly as always, enthusiastic as he announced his plan.
"Raymond! Today I want to go find a third partner!"
Resting his head on his chin, Raymond interrogated him calmly.
"How long did it take to find me?"
"Um... a month or so!"
He raised an eyebrow before answering snarkily.
"Good luck."
Panicking, Xander still kept his bravado but was visibly worried as he explained himself.
"Wait! It took so long before because people didn't trust that I could be a good team leader! Hard to believe, I know!"
