The airship grew a bit more crowded. Raymond now found himself walking with Sara who refused to take off her hood, walking down the halls of the airship.
As they walked he peered over, able to see long blond hair drape down her shoulders, the girl looking around as he spoke.
"Sara, you're lucky. I spent a lot of time finding those three adventurers and then you drop in outta nowhere, stealing their spot."
She nods, replying with an assuring tone.
"I sensed you were in need of a party member and thus I arrived. I also noticed you had a working airship, but that's besides the point."
"So that's why you came..."
Sara saw his disappointed expression aimed at her, stuttering as she pushed the conversation along.
"Ignore I said that. I want to know more about our strange, eccentric captain. When did you two first meet?"
Raymond recounted the moment, Sara looking over as she listened with genuine interest.
"I first met him when he saved me from an attack from pirate goblins. Those same goblins once piloted this ship."
She was visibly surprised, her eyebrow raised as she responded.
"Huh. I thought he was nothing but talk, going on and on about asserting vague justice and firing his firework cannon at anyone, even his companions."
"Well he is mostly talk. When we fought the goblin captain he couldn't do anything cause he was on cooldown. I had to take care of it alone."
He could see her smile, entertained by a thought she said out loud.
"Did you punch it like the dragon?"
"Actually yeah. My sword broke and that was my last resort."
Raymond could hear her laugh, the boy a bit embarrassed as he rubbed the back of his own head, Sara responding.
"I'm guessing Xander relies on you for everything."
Reaching the middle of the hall he turns, opening one of the rooms, stepping inside to show Sara her room inside the airship.
The bedroom was small, illuminated by both a ceiling light and a glass window. It was furnished lightly with a bed, a table and a small wardrobe.
"This used to be one of the goblin bunks. Xander and I had to deconstruct a lot of their bunk beds, selling what we scrapped to buy furniture."
He watched as she stepped inside, looking around. Raymond grew uncomfortable, stepping out as he began to shut the door.
