"What are we going to do?" I asked them, looking down at the street below us

"What are we going to do?" I asked them, looking down at the street below us. It was a big drop, considering it was seven floors up. There's no way we would jump and not die.

Penny put his hand on my leg to keep me from falling. "We'll figure it out. Don't lean forward," he told me.

For once, Xander hadn't been talking. He wasn't moving but the look on his face gave away the impression that he was terrified of something awful happening to the three of us. The only noise heard was coming from inside the hotel room; it was being destroyed by a group of people who were trying to kill me and possibly hurt Penny and Xander.

"You know what? Everything will be fine. Everything will be just fine..." I ranted to myself in hopes to make myself feel better.

Penny turned his head to look at the side of the building. Xander looked at him and opened his mouth before closing it again.

"What are you thinking?" I asked Penny, watching his facial expressions carefully. If Penny was scared, I knew there would be a reason for me to be scared.

Penny looked back and forth between both sides of us. "Listen, I need you to trust me," he stated, looking me in the eyes.

"I do."

"I can't say as much," Xander's eyes remained on the ground beneath us.

"We need to jump to the next window where Xander's room is," Penny told us. "and we need to be quick about it."

The window next to us was at least ten feet away.

I heard Xander laugh beside me. "Your imagination is very agile, brother. She won't be able to jump without breaking something."

"Excuse me?"

"Do you have a better plan?" Penny asked him.

His brother stayed quiet and I nodded my head in response. "I'll do it."

Penny looked at both of us before turning toward the next ledge. He stepped back a foot before making a large jump to the window beside us, and grabbed onto the window seal to keep him from falling backward. Once he placed his feet on the narrow edge of the building, he turned toward us and gave us a smirk. "Who's next?"

I looked at Xander and slowly moved passed him, keeping at least one of my feet on the ledge. Penny reached his hands out to catch me, and I couldn't help but feel my stomach turning. I trusted Penny, but I couldn't trust myself. I gulped and looked into Penny's eyes.

"Hey," he gave me a small smile. I looked away from his face. "look at me. Everything will be alright. I won't let anything happen to you, understand?"

My eyes wandered back into his.

"We don't have much time, brother," Xander said as the banging from inside the room got even louder. They were probably tearing apart the room by now.
