31) Husbandly Duties II: Custody -Tenya-

This one is gonna be more... Story than usual, but not as much as my first Hard Boiled chapter. There will be smut, it just won't be a lot and there won't be penetration. BUT! I do have raunchy plans for THE THIRD CHAPTER OF HUSBANDLY DUTIES! If you enjoyed the first's story bits, then this one should give you some good feels about Sei and Ten as a couple and parents. Sei smiled at her 2-year-old daughter, beaming up at her, looking like Tenya, but without an engine. The girl is extremely well behaved. "Bok Choy, Yanaso?" Hums Sei to the toddler in the seat for the shopping cart.

"Choy, choy, choy~" sings out the girl.

"Haha, alright~" Picking up a bit and slipping them into a plastic bag, Seiradai sets them into the cart and continues along. "It's very good to enjoy your greens, sweetheart. Mommy can't wait to teach you how to cook! Then we can all cook together~"

"Together~" Sings Yanaso.

"Yes, very good." When Sei reaches the flour, since they're almost out back home, she feels eyes on her. Plucking the flour, she sets it into the cart and looks over. Her whole heart stops briefly. "Miko." Her ex girlfriend... The one who bore Sei's son.

"Seiradai." Nods Miko, quickly turning and leaving the aisle.

Sei frowns at the cold treatment but decides to push it aside. It wasn't a big deal. The previous birthday letter explained they'd be moving nearby where Sei and Tenya actually lived. Miko didn't know that, but Sei did. She never mentioned it. It didn't seem all that important and she didn't think they'd ever run into one another! Especially so damn quickly!

Shaking it off, Sei continues her shopping trip, vaguely aware of being watched and followed. As she's putting Yanaso in the car after having loaded everything in and returned the cart, she hears a cart stop behind her car. Straightening, she looks over at Miko. The lithe and much smaller woman approaches, leaving her cart where she stopped it. She inhales. "I erased your contact information and would like it again."

Blinking, blank, Sei stares a moment. Then brightens and tugs out her phone with a smile. "Sure!" She hands her phone to Miko who quickly inputs her number. "It'll be nice to chat more regularly. I miss our talks most."

"I'll call you." Quickly states Miko before handing the phone back. Her pocket pings. "Bye." Then she turns and marches off fast with her groceries.

Sei finds herself pouting, hurt by the brisk treatment. Sighing, she pockets her own phone and gets into her car to head home. For the next week, she thinks about when Miko might call. It would be nice to have a more casual friendship with her ex. When Tenya notices her distant behavior, he questions and she responds truthfully. He merely nods and asks that she keep him updated on it all.

Not a hard thing to do when her phone chimes while they're readying for bed. "Hm?" She stops applying a eucalyptus lotion to her arms and approaches her phone. It's on the charger as she presses the front button to turn on the screen. Quickly, she picks it up and swipes the screen fully on.

Miko: I need to talk to you.

Miko: Now.

"Who is it?" Tenya asks.
