Chapter 8: The Family's Reaction

Ivy

Eve went to visit her daughter Ivy. "Have you heard about Ben getting married?!" Eve asks. "What! No, I have not! Who did he marry?!" Ivy asks angrily. "I do not know, but she is not a princess or anyone!" Eve said. "I was wondering why Ben took off without telling me. I knew he had a girlfriend. I am going to destroy this girl and I will never let this girl be happy with my son!" Ivy promised.

When Ben and Pam finished their honeymoon, they went back to the castle. The maid goes to get Ben for a phone call. He knew it was his mother. Is it true that you got married?!" Ivy asks. "Yes, I got married, mother," Ben replied. "Who is this woman?!" Ivy asks. "My wife's name is Pam Wilson," Ben replied. "You married a nobody! You should have married a princess," Ivy replied angrily.

Pam

I heard Ben arguing with someone on the phone and I assumed it was his mother. I am scared to tell my mother I am married. My mother never likes the guys I went out with. My mother always tries to fix me up with a guy that had money. I did not care about money; I just want to be happy. Ben makes me happy. I call dad. "Hey, Dad, the cruise is cancelled because of the storms. I am in England right now," I told my dad. "I am glad you and your brother are ok," my dad told me.

"Dad, I have something to tell you. I met someone and we got married. I know it is fast, but I love him," I explained. "Pam, I do agree you rushed into this marriage, but you are a grown woman. You do not need my permission to get married. I trust your judgment. "What is my son-in-law's name?" My dad asks. "His name is Ben Stewart," I replied. "When do I get to meet Ben?" My dad asks. "When the weather clears up, we will come for a visit," I told my dad.

Tammy

Tammy's dad told her and her mother that Pam got married. Tammy could not believe how dumb Pam was. "I cannot believe that Pam got married. I wonder who the guy is?" Tammy said. "Probably a loser, you know your sister has poor taste in men," Tammy's mom Barbara replied. Tammy's dad Sam walks into the kitchen. "Pam is a grown woman, and she does not need yours or your mother's permission to get married!" Sam replied angrily.

"Is Pam bringing this loser home for us to meet?" Tammy asks laughing. "Yes, Pam told me that she will be home as soon as the weather clears up over there," Sam explained. Barbara was not too happy about Pam marrying some guy that she did not know. "When Pam gets home, I am going to give her a piece of my mind!" Barbara replied. "If you do not keep your mouth shut you will lose a daughter!" Sam warns Barbara.
