Chapter 9: Escape to a New Life

Emma was thinking about Randy. Melissa walks into Emma's room. "What are you thinking about?" Melissa asks. "I met someone and his name is Randy Bailey. I really like him," Emma replied. "I am happy for you Emma, but what if your brother found you?" Melissa asks. "I do not care because I am hoping things will work out with Randy," Emma replied. "I met someone too and his name is David Wilson," Melissa replied. "Is David's sister married to Ben Stewart?" Emma asks. "Yes, she is," Melissa replied.

Someone knocks on Emma's door and Melissa answers the door. "Is Emma here?" Randy asks. "I am here," Emma replied meeting Randy at the door. "Would you like to go out to eat?" Randy asks. "I would love too," Melissa replied. Later, Randy took Emma to a fancy restaurant then they went sightseeing. "You said you have been to France?" Emma asks Randy. "Yes, when I was in the army, I was stationed in France. I did not get to look around much. My parents were killed in a train accident. I was put in a foster home I was 13 years old Randy explained.

"I am really sorry. My parents are dead too. My mother died in childbirth and my father was killed in active duty. It was just me and my brother, but we never got along," Emma replied. "I do not have any brothers or sisters. I was the only child of my parents. My parents did not have any brothers or sisters," Randy replied. "I do not hate my brother I just wish he would stay out of my life," Emma replied. "What is your brother's name?" Randy asks. "My brother's name is Victor," Emma replied.

"I do not know your brother and I do not know what it is like to have a brother or sister. I do know having a family means a lot to me. I never had a family. I was placed in different foster homes. I would not kick your brother out of your life because you might be sorry later," Randy suggests. "I do not want to kick my brother out of my life. My brother is trying to force me to marry a man I do not love. This guy that my brother wants me to marry is a jerk," Emma replied.

"I would not want you to marry anyone else because I do not like competition," Randy replied laughing. Emma laughs too and kisses Randy. Randy took Emma back to Queen Pollyanna and King Jason's castle where they were staying. Emma went to look for Melissa. "How was your date?" Melissa asks. "It was great. I really like Randy," Emma replied. "I am happy for you Emma," Melissa replied. "I am happy too," Emma replied.

King Victor

Prince Henry came to visit King Victor. "I thought you promised me your sister as a wife!" Prince Henry replied angrily. "My sister is missing. I believe someone kidnaped her," King Victor said. "Have you reported her missing to the police?" Prince Henry asks. "Yes, I did, but the police are not doing much!" King Victor said. "I am going to hire a private investigator," Prince Henry replied.
