Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Family Problems

I was so happy, but I was also sad. Ben lives in France and I live in Arkansas. I was afraid after my trip I would never see him again. I try not to think about that. I am just going to enjoy my trip. I told David that I really like Ben. "What do you think mom and Tammy would think?" David asks. "I do not care what they think; I don't need their approval," I replied angrily. "I like Ben too and I hope things work out for the two of you," David said. "Thank you David, I am glad you and dad support me," I replied happily. "You are a grown woman and you do not need my approval or the approval of dad. I trust your judgment," David replied.

Ben was happy too, but worried about his mother Ivy. Ben's mother never cared for his happiness. He could not stop thinking about Pam. Ben did not want to lose Pam and he would even move to Arkansas to be close to her. Ben was not going to tell his mother about Pam, but he did not know how he was going to keep Pam a secret. His mother and grandmother were evil women.

Randy

Randy Bailey was on the same ship that Pam was on. Randy was a good man. Randy's parents were killed in a train accident. Randy was a lawyer and he works really hard. Randy needed a vacation. Randy saw a beautiful woman named Emma. Emma was talking to her friends when she saw a man looking at her. "How rude," Emma told her friend Rachel. "What are you talking about?" Rachel asks Emma. "That guy is looking at me!" Emma replied. "He's probably checking you out," Rachel replied. "He is wasting his time!" Emma said.

Emma is a princess and sister of King Victor. Emma and King Victor's parents were both dead. King Victor wanted Emma to marry Prince Henry. She is not ready to marry anyone. King Victor is forcing Emma to marry Prince Henry. Emma did not know what to do; she wished her brother would respect how she feel. Emma looks to see if the guy was still looking at her, but he was gone.

Tammy

Tammy did not like how Pam was behaving. Steve was a good man and if Pam marries Steve, it will help Hank get a better job. Pam does not care for this family. "What is the matter with you?" Hank asks. "I am angry with Pam. She does not think about this family, only about herself!" Tammy replied angrily. "Pam is a good person and she does think about her family. She has a right to be happy. You cannot force her to marry someone she does not like!" Hank replied.

"Whose side are you on!" Tammy shouted. "I cannot be on your side when you are wrong! You need to stop worrying about Pam and you need to be a better wife and mother!" Hank shouted back leaving the room. Tammy was so angry with her husband. She could not believe that Hank thought she was a horrible mother.
