Humanity will never know how hard it is to be alone.

The stitches that stab as they 'heal' you with words.

Someone will always be there? Funny, how they think they know everything about being lonely.

When one is alone, then all are alone.

"So we're going to relocate to a different building?" You inquired, grasping onto the back of Kurapika's traditional Kurta wear. A beat of silence later he answers, "Correct. The Phantom Troupe might be after you and Uvogin." You hum in understanding as you follow him out the doors of the building.

He approaches a silver car and you two go inside of it, riding away onto the road. During the ride, nobody uttered a single word, just staring towards the road. After going through gruesome traffic you arrive at another Nostrade estate.

He enters and you copy, managing his fast pace. He leads you past the front desk, which confuses you but decided to not question him. It's peculiar how you know not to question people during certain situations.

You arrive at the top floor, then looked for Kurapika but found no one. "Kurapika? Did you leave?" You inquired, but then an ominous presence was felt behind. A hand reached out and firmly gripped your shoulder, startling you immensely.

When you turned around Vidal stood there. Wait, Vidal? No, he was dead, it's not possible for him to be alive. "My swan, why did you leave me? It's so cold out here all alone." He asks, tears slowly streaming down his handsome face.

"I never left you my love, they took you from me. I'm just as lonely without you." You explain, raising your hand and caressing his cheek. He, in response, leans forward for a kiss. However his body was suddenly was covered in a deep maroon. Vidal chokes for a few seconds, then falls to the ground. A frozen expression was formed on his face.

You wake up in the same room you had slept in. Tears overflowed from your eyes while you clutched the blanket. God, why did nightmares have to come at the worst of times? No matter, it's not like you had a lot of time to waste.

It was early morning, the sky painted a mixture of reds, purples, and blues. It was breathtaking how enticing nature can be in its rawest form. Nature though is cruel, just like the loneliness society made you deal with.

Vidal had died and you were all alone. Sure, Kurapika was an acquaintance but you nor him trusted each other. So in the end you were left to fend for yourself, vulnerable to people like Chrollo.

It hurts how much people don't take the time to try to understand how agonizing it can be. Knowing that nobody wants to be with you forever, or if you'll ever be happy again, so unpredictable.

After getting out of your state of deep thinking, you decided to watch some TV while waiting for the sun to rise completely. Nothing but a documentary on the great leader Tartaglia was entertaining. Another option was to watch people compete for a single woman, disgusting really.

"Tartaglia, the lover of the Snezhnayan queen, was truly a mighty hero." The narrator speaks, the camera zooming in on the actor portraying Tartaglia. The actor held a bow and shot a man to the heart, killing the opponent. "Although he was quite the popular man, he was still always so lonely, so very lonely." They continue. (Imagine the voice like those nature documentaries)

Your eyes slightly widened at the last fragment of the sentence. He was lonely too? The Snezhnayan leader was like you, he had a lover, but was lonely. Wow, what a beautiful world it is, people suffering the same way you are. If only someone could stop the madness of isolation.

As the documentary proceeded, you slowly began to become hungry but ignored the need. While you continued to watch the great Tartaglia, a knock rung from the door.

"Yes?" You called out, trudging over to the door. "It's me," a masculine voice answered, "Kurapika." You opened the door and his face was revealed. He looked dead inside, eyes completely barren with any form of life. How depressing it is to see him in such a state.

"Here, come inside, you look traumatized." You gesture, and he proceeds to follow. You sit on the couch and pat the space beside your side, insisting for him to sit. He drags his feet over and plops down on the seat like he was deadweight.

"Wanna watch this documentary while you explain what's happened?" You inquire, and he nods. A minute passes before he finally speaks, "My boss wants me to bid for the eyes of my dead clan," he glances at your face which was focused on the TV, "They were all slaughtered to death during a genocide by the Phantom Troupe."

A few beats pass before your eyes transition over to him, "I might not know the intensity or extent of your pain but I do know isolation can make you question your life." You respond, your face contorting to a distraught expression.

You softly touch his shoulder twice and pull away, unsure of his boundaries. "We're both going mad, mad of loneliness and pain." The man states, eyes shifting upwards to the ceiling. You hum in agreement and once again concentrate on the documentary.

My queen, you're not lonely, you have me! I've always been there beside you, even if you don't acknowledge it. Even the day I died, I was still there, standing next to you.

It pains me how much you shut out my generosity and kindness. I love you, more than any being can measure. Yet you still don't return the insanity back.

Sometimes I want to cut you and pour all of my affections into the cut. Then maybe you'll understand even a bit of my burning passion for you. Too bad it doesn't work like that.

Run all you want, but I'm still your knight, your knight who rescues Rapunzel. If you don't come with me on your own I'll just have to steal you away. So if you want to live a good life, love me.

I don't get why you still love him. Sure, he was a great friend and all but you're mine. I killed him so that he won't take you away, but I was a little bit too late, you're brainwashed. You think I'm the bad guy when really Vidal is.

No matter, soon we'll be together forever, living our lives in luxury and joy. Actually, you live your life, I'll be living someone else's. Haha, funny how I won't look the same yet still being able to love you.

Sorry this is such a short chapter, I've been so busy but most of it is done now. I only have to go to school for a month and a half in Japan before I'm completely free.

Whenever I'm not able to update on Wattpad during a normal schedule I've got a tumblr that you guys can look at if you want to. There's no HXH content yet but I do take requests for lots of other fandoms including HXH.

The link will be posted on my profile description if it works, if.
