Rantaros pov
I ran towards the sound of the scream. That scream was definitely human. That means we might be encountering a yo-kai in this very forest. Either that or it's just a regular human but here's to hoping!
I pushed some leaves out of the way and standing in front of me was the most adorable wolfkin with his leg caught in a bear trap. My eyes lit up. A Wolfkin. Of course! No wonder the scream sounded human. This makes so much more sense now!
I took a step forward. The wolfkin immediately freaked out and tried to run away which only resulted in him hurting his leg even further.
"shhh little one it's ok. I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to take this nasty trap off you" I forced the trap open. The wolfkin tried to run away but his leg was too injured to walk. He looked up at me fearfully.
"easy now little pup I just wanna help you" I pulled out my first aid kit. I took out some bandages and wrapped it round his leg. He watched with fascination. God he's so cute.
"right my little pup your far too injured to stay out in the wild so I'm going to take you back to my cottage" I scooped him up and carried him back home.
He snuggled into my chest tiredly. God he's so adorable. I'm going to have to control myself or I might end up keeping him.
