Shuichis pov
I watched as rantaro picked up his coat and opened the door. Normally he would wave goodbye to me and leave but this time he left the door open.
I tilted my head in confusion. Why isn't he leaving?
He smiled at me "would you like to come with me to the town little pup?"
My eyes lit up and I jumped into his arms, my tail wagging wildly.
"I'll take that as a yes" he chuckled "come on shuichi. Let's get going!"
*time skip*
I held onto rantaros hand as we walked through the village. It's true that I was excited about getting out of the cottage and following rantaro to a new place but now that I'm here I feel scared. I can feel everyone's eyes on me. It's making it hard to breathe-
"heya!" I yelped at the sudden voice behind me. I turned around to see a purple haired boy smiling at me.
"kichi your going to scare the poor boy" miss keade wrapped her arms around the boy and kissed his cheek. He must be her lover.
"opps sorry" he giggled before holding out his hand "names Kokichi ouma. What about you?"
"I'm shuichi sir" I shook his hand.
"wow nice to meet you shuma!" he surprise hugged me "we're going to be the best of best friends!" I felt my face turn red. I'm not used to anyone other than rantaro getting this close to me!
Rantaro chuckled at this "it's good to see that you're all friends already. I think you guys will get along just fine"
I felt embarrassed but alot less scared than before. I guess rantaro is right. I really do feel safe around his friends.
