*After the friend meet up*

We ran through the village with big smiles on our faces. I probably looked a right sight running around with a boy with a tail but who gives a damn. All that matters is that I give shuichi a good time.

I stopped abruptly once we reached our destination. I turned to shuichi with a grin "feast your eyes on the market place my dear"

Shuichis eyes lit up as he ran from stall to stall inspecting them. I struggled to keep up with him!

"wow the market place is so pretty ran" shuichi marvelled at the food stalls posted outside "it's like something straight out of my story books!"

"you read stories?" I muttered in disbelief. I didn't think shuichi would have any books where he lived.

He nodded "I found several books that humans dropped and even taught myself how to read. My favourite stories were the sherlock homes series. Those stories always depicted quite little moments like this in the city" his eyes lit up before he looked away "I always wanted to visit the market place but I was frightened. I thought someone would try and hurt me"

I gently cupped his face "Well your out now so let's have some fun. Who cares who sees us eh?"

"you right!" shuichi grinned "let's have fun!"

We went from stall to stall trying samples of all their food cause we're broke. I did end up buying shuichi a marshmallow stick that was dipped in the chocolate fountain since he was looking so longingly at it. I even ended up feeding it to him. Who's the alpha in this relationship again!?

Shuichi spotted a takiyaki stand and ran over to it. I smiled at him. It's amazing how confident he's become in as little as two months. It's almost like he's a whole other person. I'm so proud of how far he's come.
