To Fall Is Love

Chapter Two

Hey, Lovelies! Since I have the first five chapters of To Fall Is Love written, I'll go ahead and start posting them.

I will be working on more Omakes as well:

1) Shikaku Meets Naruto (it will be similar to the first Omake but from Shikaku's POV)

2) Shikamaru Doesn't Care (this will be Shikamaru's take on everything and why he goes to his father about Naruto's impending defection)

3) Sasuke Is Already Jealous (Sasuke seeing Itachi's relationship with Naruto and how that affects him -spoiler, he's already being manipulated at this point)

4) Eichi and Akihiko Think About Their Clans (this is two Omakes -or one if they're short enough- and will happen after Naruto meets them)

I was originally going to add #4 as part of the story, but it didn't feel necessary, but I'd like to include how they feel about their clans and the main clans.

5) Iruka The Mother Hen (the title was just for shits and giggles and will be about Iruka watching as Naruto grows in the Academy. It will be hard writing the "chapter" from when the guy hated Naruto, as I have never really done something like that before)

Summary of Chapter One:

Naruto meets Orochimaru and is gifted with Suika, an invisible intel snake instructed to protect and keep Naruto company.

Naruto and Itachi are revealed to be friends before Itachi defects.

Shikaku Nara visits Naruto.

Naruto flinched at his tone, understanding his reasoning immediately, like Shikaku had predicated, "H-hai. I have a few Kunai but they're rusted. I wasn't given anything to help keep them in good shape. I have maybe a meter of ninja wire? I'm not too sure of its condition. I also made some exploding tags, but they aren't very effective since I probably messed them up and I made them on regular paper."

Shikaku nodded. In retrospect, his arsenal wasn't too bad. He could benefit with a bitter kit, though.

Chapter Two

Warnings: semi-emotionless Naruto (meaning he just blinks at most things that would create an adverse reaction from a normal kid), short chapter

"So, you need new Kunais, probably about ten to start with, with their cleaning supplies. You could get more in the future. Another meter of ninja wire, just in case. If you don't need it now, then just keep it in good condition in your pouch because, as I said before, it's better to be prepared. You probably would do good to buy a few Shuriken, flash-bangs, and smoke bombs. Again with their cleaning supplies. I'm probably just gonna buy you a beginner pack, which holds everything I just mentioned."

Naruto nodded, dazed at the information, "T-thanks."

Shikaku waved his gratitude away, "Don't mention it. Now, do you have a weapon that you'd like to learn?"

Naruto hummed as he thought deeply about his answer. Shikaku let him be since he wasn't too concerned about his answer. The boy wasn't even a Genin yet, well not officially.

He knew that Orochimaru would promote him officially even if Konoha didn't. He was counting on it, though he figured that the erstwhile Sannin would put him back into the Academy for another couple of years, just in case.

"N-not really. I would think something that would compliment my chakra affinity, but I don't know that yet. Iruka-sensei says that I'll learn that after I become Genin, which could be at any time. A staff or a sword would be a good idea, but I'm not that great at regular Taijutsu, much less Bojutsu or Kenjutsu."
