Chapter 17: Ilum

Y/N's P.O.V

After coming out of lightspeed we fly down and land on Ilum.

I go over to the Falcon ramp and lower it.

Rey: Y/N, are you sure you don't want me to go with you?

Y/N: Yes Rey, I'm sure. This is something I have to do alone.

She reluctantly agrees, I then look to Poe and Finn.

Y/N: Alright, Finn keep an eye on the scanners the First Order may find out what we're doing here. Poe, stay in the cockpit with Chewie, if the First Order shows up we may need to get out in a hurry.

They both nod.

Finn: We're on it.

Y/N: Okay good. I'll be back soon.

BD-7 jumps on my shoulder and we leave the Falcon.

Once we're outside I rub my hands together to keep myself warm.

Y/N: God. I forgot how cold it was here.

I look to BD.

Y/N: Okay buddy, let's do this.

BD-7: (Beeps.)

After a few minutes I finally make my way inside the cave.

Y/N: Alright, now I just have to angle the crystal the right way and melt the ice.

BD-7: (Beeps.)

Y/N: Yeah, maybe it is easier said than done.

I then use the force to pull the crystal the right way and it hit the sun just right and the huge ice wall melted and revealed a door behind it.

Y/N: Yes! Alright, now all I gotta do is find a new lightsaber crystal and get the hell outta here.

I jump down and head towards the door.

Once making it through the door I jump down into the water below.

(Ten minutes later)

After ten minutes of swimming and running around and finding dead ends I jump back into the water. But the whole time I've been feeling that I'm getting closer to my new crystal.

I swim until I reach an opening to swim upwards.

As I look up I see a younger version of myself. It was what I looked like the day I came here to get my first lightsaber crystal.

My younger self offers me a hand. I take his hand and he pulls me up. Once I'm out of the water the younger me is gone.

Y/N: What the hell?

BD-7 (Confusingly beeps.)

Y/N: It's nothing buddy, let's just keep going.

BD jumps back on my shoulder. My younger self then reappears.

Young Y/N: Follow me.

I nod

We then make our way into a big room

And we see a formation of crystals, as my younger self walks closer he disappears.

I then see a small blue crystal glowing.

Y/N: That's it! That's my lightsaber crystal BD.

I run over there and grab the crystal.

As it lays in my hand it breaks in two.
