Chapter seventeen

Your pov

The news wasn't hard to process but you were just getting used to the fact that people cared about you and now you were being moved again. You knew that they didn't have anything against you but you still felt as if you were being kicked out. "We're still coming home for the weekends and break right?" Shinso had asked and Aizawa nodded.

"The dorms also won't be ready for a couple weeks so don't stress out too much about it." As he was saying this he had looked at you threw the car mirror. You had relaxed and shyly smiled. They do want me around. You squeezed your backpack a bit harder and stared out the window the rest of the way to the school. The school day had gone pretty smoothly except for the occasional hide from Bakugo. Even at lunch you had decided to sit outside under a tree with your sketch book in hand. What you didn't expect was for Todoroki to walk up to you and sit next to you. He didn't say anything as he sat down simply keeping the quiet of the place. It stayed that way until he had finished his cold soba.

"Your eye.. Why did you cover it up?" As he said this you realized that you hadn't put any contacts in this morning. He must have noticed your hesitation because he continued "The other day, you asked me why I don't cover my eye. Now I'm asking you why you covered yours." This had made more sense. taking a deep breath you shrugged your shoulders.

"Ever sense I was little I was told that Its weird and not natural." You stoped for a minute as you started remembering the first time you heard someone say something about it.

Flashback

You had been playing at a park that your parents had brought you to. You had been playing with a boy with light brown hair and a pair of light blue overalls. The two of you had been making a sandcastle in the dirt until the boy's mother had come over to tell the boy off for getting so dirty. Timidly you walked up to the mother and spoke.

"I-Im sorry ma'am b-but me and Aiden were building a sand castle!" You had smiled and let your excitement for sandcastles take over. But as you looked at the women in front of you she looked at you as if you had just picked a booger and eaten it.

"Get away from me and never come close to me or my child again!" hearing this you had started tearing up. This is when your parents had seen what was going on. They both had come over and the women didn't let up.

"Are you two the parents of this child?!" The woman asked as her child was hiding behind her. Both your parents had nodded.

"Yes, what seems to be the problem?" Your dad had asked as he crouched down to your level and picked you up, caring you in his arms. Your mother was standing in front of the two of you and had her arms crossed keeping an eye on the other mother. The rest of the argument had been a blur except for one thing that the other had said.

"That eye of hers is unnatural and should not be like that id be ashamed to have such a disgusting child." As the mother had said this your father had cupped your head to try and muffle it all. Soon after your parents had taken you to the car. Before you're able to get home your mother brings up the conversation saying that you should start wearing contacts. Your father was against it which had started a whole other fight between the two.

End of flashback

You had shaken your head trying to forget about the memory. Bringing your attention back to Todoroki. He noticed that it wasn't all to the story but he hasn't asked any questions. Instead he leaned back resting on his hands.. "I was born with my eye just like you I assume. But the scare was inflicted by my mother." He sat there and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't blame her though my father drove her to do it." He said calmly his eyes drift down to his lap. At this you shrug off your blazer and turn your back to him. You unbuttoned the first two buttons on your shirt and pull back your undershirt to only expose some of the scared skin on your shoulder. Todoroki's eyes had widened at the sight. He leaned in closer to your shoulder to see that it had been the same type of scare that was left on his eye. After a minute or so you had gotten uncomfortable and quickly fixed your shirt and covered up your shoulder once more.

"I got this from my mother as well." You gave him a sad smile with a slight shrug.

"I guess where one of the same then" He said with a slight tilt of his head. Not really knowing how to respond to that you shrugged your shoulders and nodded your head. Thankfully the bell had rung signaling that lunch had been over. You and Todoroki had left the tree in silence and walked to class with nothing else to say to each other.

When you got back into the classroom you had felt someone jump on top of you. Slightly panicking you hardened your skin to protect yourself. When only to recognize the pink arms that had been wrapped around your neck. Taking a deep breath you relax.

"(YYYY/NNN)!!!! Where have you been?!?!" Mina had yelled out making a pouty face as I shrugged my shoulders.

"I was outside" shyly smiling at the pink alien in front of you. She jumped off you and placed her hands at her hips before going on about how Sero had tried hanging upside down on the roof and that Kirishima got told off for trying to eat rocks. Then about how Bakugo had yelled at the two of them for being so dumb witch caused a teacher to walk over to the three of them putting them all in detention. As she was explaining you were extremely confused why they would wanna do all that. When something popped in your head. "So where had Denki and Shinso been when this was happening?" You had asked then Mina smirked and held up her phone which had a picture of Denki and Shinso. But in the photo They had been sitting on the floor in the cafeteria Shinso was leaning against the wall and Denki had been in front of him leaning against Shinso's chest phone in hand. Shinso had raped his arms and legs wrapped around him with his head resting on the crook of Denki's neck. The two had been sharing a pair of headphones comfortably watching something on Denki's phone. After looking at the image you had a huge smile on your face. "Mina! You HAVE to send me that!" You said as you practically bounced in place. Mina rapidly had nodded at your statement and handed you her phone to place your phone number. Once she had sent over the photo you looked up from your phone and looked over at Mina. "Don't show anyone outside the friend group. I don't want any hate thrown their way." Mina nodded and placed her hand over her heart.

"I promise to keep it on the down low! Scouts honor!" Mina made an over the top gesture and you couldn't help but softly giggle. After the commotion was over and everyone was seated in there seats the rest of the day went like normal.
