chap 4

"so...should we...invite him over?" lloyd said quietly as gene peeked out of their blanket fort.

the person lloyd was talking about was brad.

brad was a year younger then them and had been enrolled just today, he was asigned to their dorm room, since their room had just the two of them.

currently brad was reading a picture book he got from the library (or trying to as the book was pretty damaged from other darklys kids)

but from the way he kept looking over at the fort every few seconds it was pretty clear he wasnt really interested in the books

"hmm...maybe" gene replied.

"adding members to our group would definitly be beneficial, especially since he's new and doesnt know his way around..."

lloyd bit his lip, something he tended to do when he was nervous.

"its up to you to decide" gene reminded him " we dont have to if you dont want too"

for a second Lloyd looked like he wanted to do just that, but he shook his head "you said it yourself, i need more followers, and besides if he's gonna be in our room its better if we make him apart of our group before someone else takes him in theirs, we don't want an enemy right in our dormroom do we?" with that lloyd went and poked his head out of the blanket fort.

only to find brad right outside the entrance.

"uh hi" brad said nervously "can i maybe come in?"

lloyd and gene shared a look

"only people that are apart of our group are allowed in here" gene said.

apon seeing brads dejected face lloyd added "unless you wanna be apart of our group?"

brads face lit up "sure!" he replied instantly

"now hold on a minute" lloyd said taking on a serius tone

"if you wanna join us you have to know the rules,"

"rule no.1 im the leader and your the follower, what i say goes

rule no.2 you have to share any treats you get with us

and rule no.3 you have to contribute to the group, that means you have to help us with pranks, got that?"

brad nodded excitedly "can i come in now?"

lloyd and gene shared another look, finally lloyd nodded and made a motion for brad to come in

"sweet!" he said coming in and looking around in awe at what had to be the coolest blanket fort he'd ever seen.

-of course it was lloyd and gene had made it-

lloyd and gene interrogated questioned brad about differant things to get to know him, gene taking note of things brad said that could be usefull to them later -for instance brad knew how to swim, something you werent really taught at darkleys-

after brad unknowingly passed the test they talked about other things, like candy, and pets they would like to have, and how awsome dragons were -that was mostly lloyd as he loved dragons-

they ended up talking till about 3am when they all fell asleep.

and if they woke up cuddled next to eachother, well nobody had to know now did they?"

a few weeks passed and it was like brad had always been apart of the group, he fit in seemlessly.

gene made the plan, lloyd exacuted the plan, and bard caused a distraction.

it was perfect, the other kids made fun of their closeness and tried to prank them but they didn't care, most the pranks failed anyways thanks to lloyd knowing all the secret passages around the school and the people who succeded were pranked back ten-fold.
