Yasmini's POV

"I'm going to miss you terribly."
I hugged Charlotte tight as the ferry boat driver honked his horn.
"Yasmini, we must go now." Abraham said. I wrapped him in a tighter hug and wiped the tear from my eye.
"You can join us, don't stay because of Victor." Abraham pleaded.
"It's not him," but it was. I felt bad not going to fight, those were the people that killed my family, but I knew I needed to stay here and get my powers under control.
"I thought I should have tried." He smiled.
"Le's go!" The boat driver yelled. I hugged them both tightly as I ran back from the dock and into the loop hoping that Miss Peregrine didn't notice I wasn't at breakfast.

Somethings not right. The birds always chirp on September 3rd 1943 at 10:21 am. A branch behind me snapped and I turned to see a teary-wide eyed Claire covered in blood.
"C-Claire? What's wrong?"
"Bronwyn's hurt." She said in a monotone voice.
"Where is she?"
She pointed to the clearing by the big tree. I followed behind her slowly. There were large footprints in the mud and a stench that could knock over 10 men. Bronwyn was laying ahead. She looked like she was sleeping, jut on her back looking at the sky. But there was blood on her face and eyes. Wait, where are her eyes? Holy shit, she's dead.
"Claire, go fast and quietly back to the house and get Victor and Miss Peregrine." I said calmly. The silence made my heartbeat pound in my ears.
"B-but."
"NOW!"
Claire ran away snapping twigs as she did so. I turned to Bronwyn and walked towards her.
"Winnie?"
Her dead body laid motionless on the fallen leaves. I stood over her face and saw dark holes with thick red blood where her eyes should have been. Bile rose from the back of my throat and into my mouth. I turned my head and braced my hands on my knees and stumbled a few feet away to vomit. When I was done I saw Bronwyn, still dead. I climbed towards her and put her head into my lap. My hands were red with her blood. Her dark curly hair looked crimson in the sun.

Not too long later, a Miss Peregrine ran to us with Victor, Enoch, Emma, and Claire.
Emma gasped and put her hands to her mouth.
"Oh no..."
Victor fell to his knees and hyperventilated.
"A-are you going to help her? Why are you just standing here?" He scrambled over to where I was, "move!"
I moved and looked at my legs, which were covered in her sticky blood.
"H-her eyes are missing." Victor looked to Miss Peregrine.
"Take her back to the house and stay inside."

Victor looked emotionless and cold as he sat Bronwyn in her bed. Emma washed the blood from her hair and changed her into her white nightgown.
"Victor,"
"Get out." He growled.
"Do you-"
"Get out!"
Emma ushered Enoch and I out of the room and closed the door behind her. Emma put her fingers on the bridge of her nose and cried.
"We should probably tell the others." I said numbly. Emma snapped her head towards me and grabbed my wrist with her warm hands.
"She's dead because of you."
"Emma—"
"Shut up, Enoch." She snapped, before turning back to me, "she went to follow you." She let go of my wrist and picked her finger into my chest.  "Miss Peregrine didn't want anyone to leave the loop with them, but you just had to go, didn't you?" She folded her arms and scoffed, "you're why she died. You killed her just as much as that hollow did."
"We didn't even know hollows could enter loops because up until now, they weren't able to!" Enoch shouted at her.
"Go downstairs." Emma growled.
"Gladly." Enoch grabbed my hand to pull me down the stairs with him, but I planted my feet.
"You're angry because your precious boyfriend dumped you, but that has nothing to do with this." I was an inch from her face yet I could feel the heat radiating off from her.
"Mini," I let Enoch pull me away this time and stomped down the stairs. Before we entered the foyer, I saw Horace comforting Olive and Claire.
"Is she... gone?" Millard asked timidly. He glanced at my bare blood covered legs and I nodded.
"There's still a hollow somewhere in this loop." Enoch said gravely.
"But what if Miss Peregrine's not here in time to reset the loop!" Olive cried. Enoch broke away from me and scooped up Claire.
"We still have hours until then." Emma cascaded down the staircase trailing her hot finger down the bannister.
"What do we do?" Hugh asked with his arm protectively around Fiona.
"You guys need to shut all the doors and windows, close off any unnecessary entries or exits." I told everyone.
"What about you?"
"I have something to handle."

I wiped the blood from my body with a wet washcloth and wrung the dirty water into the bathtub. I went back into my room and grabbed my knife and changed into dark long pants and dark green shirt. I grabbed my mason jar of water and tightened the lid on it while putting it in my bag. I tied my boots on and crept down the hall and into Bronwyn's room. I turned the knob and saw Victor resting beside her.
"Vic,"
"I should have protected her."
I closed the door behind me and walked to him.
"She looks like she's sleeping." He said not taking his eyes off of her.
"You couldn't have protected her, none of us could."
"But I'm—" his voice cracked, "I was her older brother." Tears fell down his face and onto her skin. I stood next to him and hugged him. His face met my chest in a compromising way, but I didn't care, he was in pain. He sniffled once more and wiped his eyes.
"Can you come back later? I'd like to be alone right now."
I kissed his head and nodded. Besides, I had a job to do.

I left a note in the kitchen while everyone rounded up blankets and pillows into the foyer. I heard Millard trying to tell the younger ones that this was just a fun pillow fort day, but they saw right through it. I was about to leave when Fiona grabbed my arm. I could tell by her eyes that she knew what I was doing.
"Don't tell anyone."
She nodded and handed me a small jar of white paint.
"What's this for?"
She rolled her red rimmed eyes and made a splashing gesture.
"So I can see him?"
She nodded.

I walked along our loop for hours. The sun was starting to set and I grew angry, but scared as well. Where was Miss Peregrine? If she wasn't here to reset the loop it would close and the bomb would kill us all. I heard a twig snap behind me and I dug my nails into the bark of the nearest tree and climbed up rapidly while ignoring the wood that slid into my skin. When I reached the top, I peered out into the scenery. I saw Miss Peregrine by the loop entrance. Behind her was a slightly pigmented smear, the hollow. I was only 6 feet up, so I jumped down, ignoring the intense pain the my ankle as I landed, I ran to where Miss Peregrine was standing with her cross bow. Her eyes got wide as she saw me run past her and splash the white paint onto the hollow. I screamed and I tired to move the amorphous blob. I saw the small blotch of paint move up a few inches, I had it. I screamed as I slammed it into the wall. Suddenly I lost control and it launched towards me. It grabbed me by my already sore ankle and threw me against the same wall I threw it. Miss Peregrine was yelling but I couldn't hear it as I was thrown against the wall. I felt some of my bones crack as I hit the wall. I licked forward and the hollow dropped me. I regained control and threw him back against the wall.
"Shoot! Kill it!" I yelled. Miss Peregrine's composure returned and she shot the beast. Black blood immediately spewed from its wound. I scrambled away from it as the beast toppled forward. The smell of its breath made me gag.
"Miss Aldello, are you alright?"

We returned back to the home in time for reset. The rain washed away the black hollow blood, but not the stench. I went inside while Miss Peregrine set the loop.
"Where were you?" Emma yelled.
"I fucking killed it."
