Victor's POV

"I love you."
"Really?" Mini smiled playfully.
"Of course, I'll love you forever."
"Really? I was hoping for forever and a day."

Our eyes were red rimmed and bloodshot.
"We should go." Horace sighed.
"And leave them?" I scoffed.
"They aren't here, it's been hours."
"They'll be here soon."
"They won't because they're dead."
I was about to strangle Horace right then and there when I saw a familiar face in the woods.
"Jake!" Emma scrambled up and threw her arms around him.
"Where's Yasmini?" I asked.
"She's ok but..."
"But what?"
"You need to come see something."

Yasmini and a man I didn't know were crying on a naked teens body.
"He shot him." Mini cried. I realized then who she was talking about, Millard. But, he was visible. Grey, but visible. Then I saw the blood and the little ones cried for Emma.
"We need to burry him." The stranger said.
"I know." But neither of them moved.

Millard. Sweet, funny, gossiping Millard. The guy who used to hide in our rooms during hide and seek and screamed when he saw Mini and I start to initiate, and now he's gone. We lost him, and Miss Peregrine.

"He died a hero." The stranger said. Mini nodded and held his hand.
"Who are you?" Enoch bit.
Everyone else now finally seemed to notice the new person standing here.
"Luis Sousa."
Enoch nodded and started to dig into the fresh dirt.
"Goodbye, brother."

"We can't take these boats, well row forever." Hugh whined.
"Who has a better idea?" I snapped.
Hugh cleared his throat and Fiona was next to him raising her hand and smiling mischievously.

Fiona strode confidently onto the fairy dock as we hid behind the priest hole.
"Thank the birds, the loop didn't reset and I thought you were killed, the whole towns looking for your bodies in the wreckage! What happened? Why wasn't the loop reset?" The fairy driver hugged Fiona tightly. He looked to be around mid 30's with a fisherman's body.
"Today's September 4th 1943." He said in awe. Fiona nodded.
"Do you need the boat again?"
Fiona nodded again.
"Why didn't the loop reset? Where are you going, where's Miss P?"
Fiona looked down and shook her head.
"I knew I felt a presence, Damnit!" He kicked the dock neighbors boat. Fiona touched his arm and nodded gently.
"Ok love, come with me to get the keys?"
Fiona nodded and smiled.

Fiona eventually pulled around to the other side of the island with the fairy driver in tow.
"Write me," he kissed her head and she hugged him tightly, "make sure you and Hugh get into no funny business." He winked. Fiona blushed and playfully smacked his arm.

"How did you know him?" Mini asked. I too, was confused, I never saw her with anyone other than Hugh.
"He's one of Miss Peregrine's old wards, Sharron. They get along because they're both vegetarian, all though he's going vegan."
Fiona smiled and nodded at Hugh.
"After awhile, he learned how to understand her and took her under his wing. Fee and I would occasionally sneak out and he'd teach us to drive the fairy, although Fee was always better at it." He winked.
"It's really cool." Jake admired.
"He goes to the present, which is where he finds new peculiars and helps them to other loops."
"He doesn't age forward?"
Fiona shook her head.
"He never told us what his peculiarity, but I assume it's age restoration." Hugh explained. Fiona shook her head fiercely and Hugh rolled his eyes lovingly, "Fee thinks he can sense things."
I knew I felt a presence last night.
"He seems friendly." Mini said. Fiona nodded.

"10 minutes and we'll be on land."
"How will your friend get his boat back?" Luis asked.
"He'll get it tomorrow probably." Hugh answered. I heard Mini whisper something to him in Portuguese and he nodded.
"You said your last name was Sousa?"
"Like Marcos Sousa?" She smiled widely.
"That's my dad, wait, Mini, as in Yasmini? Like Yasmini Aldello?"
Mini smiled and hugged him.
"Look at you, you're all grown up!"
"And you're the same!" Mini smiled and ruffled his hair.
"I remember when Eliza and I used to babysit you and you'd write her love poems." She laughed. Both of their smile faded, "I didn't get captured until 3 years later, my dad and uncle helped burry her and everyone else in the village."
"I didn't think anyone survived."
"Only my family and a few others. We all moved to present day São Paulo after. Remember my brother Antônio?"
"Of course, although he was older than Eliza and I and wanted nothing to do with us." Mini giggled.
"He married Gina DeJesus!"
"No way! They must be so cute together." Luis nodded excitedly, "they had their first great grandchild last year." Mini smiled and wiped a tear from her face with her palm, "it's good to know someone lived."
Luis nodded, "Eliza's father wished he hadn't."
"Wait, he's alive?" Mini sat up violently with a deep frown on her face.
"He tried to follow you, he said he saw what you did."
Mini started to wring her hands anxiously. As we pulled onto the beach. Emma woke up the teary eyed children, who loudly exclaimed how hungry they are.
"What did he say?" Mini asked in panicked tone.
"Uh, that you uh.... killed her."
Mini's face turned white.
"Wait, what?" Horace, Enoch, and the younger ones had all their attention on Mini.
"I...I.."
Without a word, Mini got off the boat and ran into the woods beyond the beach.

What did she do?
