Oblivious | Chapter 11

Needless to say, Tommy broke out of character sometimes on the lore on the Dream SMP. When he was acting "clingy" to Y/n, she sometimes broke out of script to insert a little flirt like- 

"Aww, don't worry Tommy. I like being with you because I like you!" 

And while Tommy was trying not to look flustered on camera, he sometimes couldn't help it and just had to hide his face and start mumbling. This in return, only got you to laugh. Sure, you were telling him your feelings but he was so oblivious that he wouldn't understand even if you meant what you said during the lore. So it was fine. 

You both knew it wasn't in the script, but Tommy thought it was just ad lib. 

Yes, it frustrated you that he didn't get the subtle hints you were dropping. You were sure by now, everyone in the Dream SMP except Tommy knew about both of your feelings. Wilbur teasingly encouraged it. Philza was in a constant deadpan every time you tried hinting that you liked Tommy. Even Dream joined in, saying,

"I give you my blessing Tommy-" then started wheezing when Tommy was just confused and asked what kind of blessing he was getting and replied with,

"I don't want any blessing from you b1tch, f**k off." 

And this only fueled Dream's wheezing. 

But the lore. 

After Tommy had died, got his life back, then he had to do his clingy script with you, he received the next part but-

Your parts weren't there. It kind of looked like this:

Tommy: Y/n? Where are you?

Y/n: (says her part of the script)

Why were your parts hidden from him? He didn't know, but he didn't bother asking and just went along with it.

Just before his part where he was going to try and kill Dream in the prison, you were supposed to visit the prison. To see your father. But since he didn't receive what you were going to do, he had to make up some of his reactions in character. 

Which is why he didn't expect this:

<awesamdude> Tommy, Tubbo, I need you to meet me at the prison. vc 4
<TommyInnit> What? Why?
<awesamdude> It's about Y/n...
<Tubbo_> We'll be right there

"I swear to god if Y/n is stuck in the prison with Dream I'm gonna-" Tommy joined the vc as he neared the prison. Sam was there to meet them and Tubbo finally caught up. 

"What happened to Y/n?" Tommy asked as soon as Tubbo joined the vc. "She better not be stuck in the prison with that b@stard." 

"No... she was... she is dying." Sam answered painfully slow as if he actually felt bad about it. Tommy was in shock as Tubbo continued.

"What? How? Can we see her? Is she okay?" 

"She's fine.. I don't know what he did but Dream did something to her. She's in the prison-"

"YOU LEFT HER WITH DREAM?!"

"NO! No! I- She- She's in the entrance of the prison."

Sam let them inside the prison and they saw her lying down (it was night time- that was planned for the lore) on a red bed placed down on the side of the entrance. 

"Y/n!" The two friends ran towards her crouching at the bedside. 

"What did he do to you?" "If I ever get my hands on him I'll-"

"It's alright..." her voice sounded scarily faint. It almost reminded Tommy of when Y/n was actually at the hospital. Trying to hold back a shiver at the thought, he continued to stay silent, listening to Y/n's words. 

"Tubbo-... I *cough* want you to take care of Dino.. my baby strider that's chilling in Scarlett's room. And Tommy *cough cough* I have so much to say- I-"

Tommy couldn't take it any longer, "No! Don't speak like that! Don't speak like your dying! You aren't going to die!" 

"I... I love you." 

<U/n> withered away
U/n left the game

Left behind on the bed was a single item. A rose. 

Tommy ended his stream there after staring at the rose for a little bit, leaving his viewers on a cliffhanger.

And although this was role play. Although Tommy thought this had to be acting. He couldn't help but feel red after hearing those words. He had to know if Y/n meant those words or not. If it was part of the script. If she actually had feelings for him. 

Later that day, staring at his phone, hovering over the call button on a particular contact, he decided to take a chance. 

But instead of calling he decided to text instead. Yes, he was a big man, but texting proves your a big man and that your cool so he decided to text instead of call. Yeah. 

And he never ended up sending the message. 

Tubbo and Y/n on the other hand were stressing over how Tommy still didn't get it. How???? Y/n was on the verge of strangling him by now and Tubbo was resisting the urge to just force him to confess to her. 

Maybe Dadza could help. 

"Tommy you little sh1t just tell her straight up. It's obvious she likes you too so stop overthinking it before you actually lose your chance and she gets taken by Purpled or Ranboo or someone." 

Yeah... Tommy hung up on that and actually called Y/n this time... after a while...

"Hello? Tommy? Is there something you need? Considering it should be around 2 in the morning where you are." 

"Yeah. I just have to tell you something, so just listen alright? Don't say anything until I'm done."

"Tommy-"

"Just listen."

"Okay." 

"We've- we've been best friends for a long time... 

and I really wanted to tell you that..."

Yeah, I'm ending the chapter here :p
