Chapter 66: Getting ready for training day

Finally, today is drumroll, please? 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 Friday! And close to the end of June. The sun started to rise and Marinette yawned and looked at Tikki.

Marinette: Good morning, Tikki.

Marinette: Good morning, Marinette.

Tikki: What's today?

Marinette: I'll check. *She gets out of bed and goes to her calendar and sees what date it is.* Friday. Tomorrow is Luka's birthday. (Hopefully, he'll like the present.)

Tikki: Tomorrow is his birthday already?

Marinette: Yep. Then other stuff is happening. There's Canada day on July 1st, but we don't celebrate it. Then there's the Fourth of July picnic and at the end, there's gonna be a fireworks display.

Tikki: Wow.

Marinette: Of course, there's Heores' Day. Ugh.

Tikki: What's wrong with Heroes' day? Sure last year it was a disaster due to Hawkmoth akumatizing almost everyone who was in Akuma form. It didn't go as planned. But hopefully, this Heroes' Day will be okay.

Marinette: Let's hope. But other than that, gotta be alert and help Master Fu protect the remaining miraculouses he has left and plan to stop Syndrome and get the Butterfly miraculous before he and his villains plan something drastic that could end all that we know.

Tikki: Every problem has a solution, Marinette.

Marinette: I know. Just not a specific problem and sometimes... not all problems have solutions, even villain problems. (I gotta be strong not only for Tikki but... for my family and friends. And my boyfriend.) *Soon, the trapdoor knocked, and Tikki hide behind Marinette's computer.* Come in. *The trapdoor opened, it was Timmy.*

Timmy: Mari?

Marinette: Hey, Timmy.

Timmy: Dad said breakfast is ready.

Marinette: Okay. Be down there in a minute. *Timmy closes the trapdoor and heads down to the kitchen.* You can come out, Tikki. *Tikki came out from behind the computer.* You know you don't have to hide whenever Timmy or the others come over.

Tikki: I know. But what if it's your parents or one of your friends?

Marinette: True. Come on, let's go. *Tikki goes into her robe pocket and Marinette heads downstairs to the kitchen.*

In Luka's house, Plagg woke up first and yawned and he sees Luka still sleeping.

Plagg: Hmm. How do I wake him up? I know. *He cleared his throat and goes up to his ear.* Wake up, Marinette's here.

Luka: What? *He sits up and he doesn't see her.* She's not even here. *Plagg laugh.*

Plagg: No, but that got you up. *He keeps laughing.*

Luka: You and your antics. *He gets out of bed and runs his eyes too.*

Plagg: So, what are you gonna do today?

Luka: I told Marinette I want to do something fun together. Hopefully no interruptions from anybody.

Plagg: Isn't your birthday coming up?

Luka: Yeah. Tomorrow. Why?

Plagg: I may have a present planned for you.

Luka: Hopefully it's not something disgusting.

Plagg: No. (Maybe.)

Luka: Come on, I know you're hungry.

Plagg: Starving. *He goes into Luka's pants pocket and leaves the bedroom and heads to the kitchen.*
