Chapter 77: Unexpected message from Taylor

At the flower field, Black Panther takes Ladybug's hand and hide behind a tree, they de-transform and catch their Kwamis, they feed them and hide them too.

Marinette: So what did you want to show me?

Luka: Recognize this place? *They came out from behind the tree, Marinette gasped. It was the flower meadow he took her once.

Marinette: Is this...

Luka: Yep. Come on. *He holds her hand and they walk into the field. the gentle wind blowing, the fluttering of butterflies fluttering in the field. Luka picks up a daisy and gives it to her.* Was this better than you imagined?

Marinette: No. It's even better. *They admire the view for a little bit.*

Sadly, the moment didn't last much for them. Back in the city, Taylor walked in the city for a little bit, she bumped into someone.

Lila: Hey, watch it.

Taylor: You watch it.

Lila: Who are you?

Taylor: Taylor. And you?

Lila: Lila. Are you new to Paris?

Taylor: No. I'm just visiting someone before his birthday tomorrow.

Lila: And who may that be? I may know someone like him.

Taylor: Luka, my ex-boyfriend.

Lila: WHAT? *Taylor jumped.* Luka is your ex? As in, you two used to date?

Taylor: Yes.

Lila: What happened? Did he cheat on you or something?

Taylor: Actually, it's the opposite. I cheated on him, with one of his friends.

Lila: Sorry to hear that.

Taylor: No, it's my fault. I tried to fix it with him, but he's into this other girl.

Lila: Who is this other girl?

Taylor: I don't know. She has a fishtail braid, a yellow shirt, blue jeans, wearing white shoes.

Lila: I know her.

Taylor: You do?

Lila: Yes. Her name's Marinette. She's dating Luka.

Taylor: I knew it. The way Luka described her when I confronted him, now he's saying she's the one for him.

Lila: Well, how would you like to have him back?

Taylor: I would do anything to have him back. Just want her out of the way.

Lila: Well I can help you on that one.

Taylor: How?

Lila: You got a picture of you and him before your break up?

Taylor: Even better, I got this today. *She get her phone out and showed Lila a picture of her and Luka kissing.*

Lila: This is perfect. I may have Marinette's phone number.

Taylor: How did you get her number?

Lila: I asked one of her stupid friends for her number. That dumb wanna-be journalist Alya.

Taylor: Okay. Show me, so I can send her this picture. *Lila showed Taylor the phone number and she put it in and send the picture to her and add "Got back together. He forgot all about you."* Done and done.

Lila: Now, we wait for the action.

At the flower meadow, Marinette's phone buzzed. She go into her purse and get her phone out and open her message, she gasped and see a picture of Taylor and Luka, kissing. She scowled.

Marinette: Luka... what is this? *She showed him the picture, and Luka was stunned.* You said you were over her.

Luka: I don't know who sent that.

Marinette: You do. Recognize this number? *He looked at the number on the message.*

Luka: It's Taylor's number.

Marinette: How did she get my number?

Luka: I don't know. She always pulls stuff like this.

Marinette: Why did you kiss her?

Luka: I didn't. She must've done this when I wasn't looking, but I pushed her away.

Marinette: It doesn't look like you did. She added "Got back together. He forgot about all of you." I thought you were over her.

Luka: I am. She's just ticked off about how I moved on and she started to feel regret about our breakup and said it was a mistake. Do you think I would kiss my ex?

Marinette: That's not what this picture she sent me. I thought I wanted this to happen for a long time, now... I don't know what to think.

Luka: Marinette...

Marinette: Take me home, please? Think this date should end like this. *Luka sighed and look disappointed.*

Luka: Okay. *He gets up and takes Marinette home.*
