Chapter 6

Y/N puts on the uniform and makes her way out the field. She has done this test before with her father to test the perimeters of her quirk but never in front of anyone else other than her dad's. She couldn't help but feel nervous to show off her quirk in front of people. It was one thing to do it for the entrance exams but another to just do it for a quirk test. Y/N just was nervous mainly because Alec was not by her side. As sad as it may seem she felt dependent upon her friend.

As she walks out to the field she sees her father waiting there with a tired look on his face. As if he's already over this class.
"Today you guys will be taking a quirk assessment test," says her father.

"What's a quirk assessment test? But orientation we are going to miss it!" she hears someone yell.

"If you really wanna make the big leagues you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies. Here at Yeuui we're not tethered to traditions that mean I get to run my class however I see fit. You have all been taking standardized tests most of your life. But you never got to use your quirks in a physical exam before. The country's still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel. One day the Ministry of Education will learn." he says before turning to bakugou.

"Bakugou you managed to get the most points on the entrance exams. What was your farthest distance when throwing a softball when you were in high school?"

"Uh 67 meters I think," the blonde said.

"Right, try doing it with your quirk. Anything goes, just stay in the circle. Go on, you're wasting our time."

The blonde responds to the teacher saying "All right man, you asked for it"

He then releases the softball with a loud explosion while yelling "DIE". Y/N can't help but chuckle at the ash blonde's antics thinking his quirk matches his personality. Her father holds up the phone showing a score of 705 meters. Everyone seems so in shock by the score that is being presented.

Her father says "All of you need to know your maximum capabilities, it's the most rational way of figuring out your potential"

She hears someone say "I wanna go! This looks fun. This is what I'm talking about using our quirks as much as we want '' she laughs quietly to herself knowing damn well this won't be fun due to her father. She knew what was going to be said next to the rest of the students, if there was one thing that Y/N knew it was that her father was not going to make this easy for them.

"So this looks fun, huh, you have the three next years to become a hero. You think this is gonna be all fun and games you are dead wrong. Idiots. Today you'll compete with each other in eight physical tests that will show your true potential. Whoever comes in last will be expelled" he says before looking at his daughter knowing she knows what to do.

"Huh you can't do that," says the short brunette girl.

"Like I said before Yueei doesn't tether to traditions the class runs how I see fit. If that's a problem you can leave right now I don't give a damn. Oh, and you think that natural disasters are fair to the people involved, or how about power-hungry villains or even catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities. No, the world is full of unfairness. It's our job as heroes to try to combat that unfairness. If you wanna become a pro you are going to push yourself to the brink. Yueei for the next three years will bring one hardship after another so go beyond and Plus Ultra. Show me it's not a mistake that you are here."

Y/N can't help but think her dad's speech was harsh but she knew that what he said was true. It was the sad reality of the superhuman society that they lived in that villains will always commit a type of evil. She notices her classmates starting to get serious after the speech, though she sees the greenette panicking she can't help but feel bad for him.

The class goes through a series of tests which include measuring devices to measure the strength or even one to measure speed. Y/N knows her father is watching so she has to try extra hard. She has learned that if she is able to create a strong enough force on the ground then she can use it to propel herself forward giving herself a small boost in the test to measure speed. The machine reads out to her saying 4.2 seconds.

She knows she can't be worrying about everyone else's quirk, that for once she has to figure out a way to make her quirk work the best for her. As Y/N breezes through the rest of the tests, she finally makes it to the softball throw. The one test her father knows she struggles with. Y/N decides to create a force that pushes the ball. The ball got pushed to a great height and landed at a score of 807 meters.

Aizawa looked at his daughter impressed by how much she has grown in the past months with her quirk. Y/N takes a deep breath on the outside to try to look nonchalant, but on the inside, she is dancing for joy at improving her quirk. The training she had done with Alec really paid off, she thought.

Soon after Y/N finishes her softball throw it is time for her green-haired friend to do his turn. She grins at him and gives him a thumbs up. He smiles and goes up and grabs the ball from her father. He takes a deep breath. Y/N can't help but feel nervous she never asked him what his quirk was.

He goes to throw the ball and it falls sadly she can't help but think but then she notices her father using his quirk. The greenette looks at his hand in shock and notices her father saying, '' I know you. The hero Eraserhead."

"I erased your quirk. The judges for this exam were not rational enough someone like you should never have been allowed to enroll in this school. Were you planning to break all of your bones again? Counting on someone to help your useless body? You are nothing more than a liability, you have the same reckless passion as another hero I know and can't stand. He became a legend but even with a drive like that, you are worthless. If you can only throw a single punch before you break down sorry Midoriya you can't be a hero with that power." her father says grimly.

Her father gives the boy one more shot. Y/N can't help but feel surprised when he turns around with a smile on his face saying "See Mr.Aizawa I can do it I'm not useless after all"

Y/N can't help but think the same thing as her father at this time. She laughs to herself all the while the explosive blonde makes her father use his quirk.

Her father explains that he was not gonna expel anyone. The class sighs in relief though one girl says she thought everyone knew that. Y/N knew it was no joke but that her father must see potential in these students this year. She can't help but feel satisfied with herself. She sees her father give her a hidden thumbs up. Y/N walks away and changes back into her school uniform. She can't wait to tell Alec about her even though it just started during lunch.
