Chapter 9 fight!

Y/N adjusted her suit, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat reminding her of the importance of the moment. She was officially in the hero course, about to participate in her first real training exercise. The thrill of it all made her fingers tingle. She looked around at her classmates, each donning their unique hero costumes, each ready to show what they were made of.

All Might stood at the front, his towering presence commanding the attention of the entire class. "Alright, young heroes!" he boomed, his voice echoing through the training field. "Today, we will be conducting a hero vs. villain exercise. You'll be paired up and assigned roles. One team will act as the heroes, and the other as the villains. Your objective is to either capture the opposing team or secure the designated target. Remember, this exercise is designed to test your abilities and teamwork. Give it your all!"

Y/N felt a shiver of anticipation run down her spine. She looked around, wondering who she would be paired with. Her eyes locked with Bakugo's fiery gaze, and she felt a jolt of surprise. Of all the people she could be paired with, Bakugo was both a thrilling and intimidating choice. His explosive personality and intense drive to win were well-known, and she knew she would have to be at the top of her game to keep up with him.

"Y/N and Bakugo, you two will be working together as heroes," All Might announced, confirming her pairing. Bakugo smirked, a cocky grin spreading across his face as he glanced at Y/N."Try to keep up, will ya?" Bakugo said, his voice a mix of challenge and encouragement. Y/N nodded, determined to prove herself.

As the pairs were assigned and the exercise began, Y/N and Bakugo made their way to their designated starting point. The training ground was an elaborate setup, designed to mimic an urban environment complete with buildings, alleyways, and obstacles. Y/N took a deep breath, focusing her mind on the task ahead.

"Alright, listen up," Bakugo said, his tone serious. "We'll need to work together if we're going to win this. I'll take the lead with offense. You cover our flank and support me when needed. Got it?"

"Got it," Y/N replied, her voice steady. She appreciated Bakugo's straightforward approach. It made it easier for her to understand their strategy.

The exercise began with a loud buzzer, and immediately, Bakugo sprang into action. His quirk, Explosion, propelled him forward with incredible speed and power. Y/N followed closely, her own agility allowing her to navigate the terrain swiftly. They moved through the mock city, keeping their senses sharp for any signs of their opponents.

"Bakugo, over there!" Y/N called out, spotting movement in one of the buildings. Bakugo nodded, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation.

"Good eye. Let's flush them out," he said, a fierce determination in his voice. He raised his hand, and with a loud explosion, blasted the door open. Y/N readied herself, her small weights in hand, ready to be thrown with precision.

Their opponents, Todoroki and Uraraka, emerged from the building, their own quirks at the ready. Todoroki's half-cold, half-hot abilities were a formidable challenge, and Uraraka's zero-gravity quirk added an element of unpredictability.

"Stay sharp," Bakugo muttered, his eyes never leaving their opponents. "We'll need to outmaneuver them."

Y/N nodded, her focus unwavering. She threw one of her weights, using her quirk to increase its velocity. The weight flew through the air, aimed at Todoroki. He countered with a wall of ice, blocking the attack, but Y/N had anticipated this. She used the moment of distraction to move closer, preparing for her next move.

Bakugo, meanwhile, engaged Uraraka, his explosions creating shockwaves that kept her off balance. He was relentless, his attacks powerful and precise. Y/N admired his skill, but she knew that they needed to work together to secure a victory.

"Bakugo, keep them busy for a moment!" Y/N shouted. She moved swiftly, using her agility to get into a better position. She needed to create an opening, a chance for Bakugo to land a decisive blow.

With a quick glance, Bakugo understood her plan. He intensified his attacks, forcing Todoroki and Uraraka to focus on him. Y/N took a deep breath, her mind racing as she calculated her next move. She threw another weight, this time aiming for the ground near Todoroki. As it hit, she used her quirk to create a shockwave, causing the ice beneath him to crack and destabilize.Todoroki stumbled, momentarily off balance. Bakugo seized the opportunity, launching himself forward with a powerful explosion. He aimed a blast at Todoroki, forcing him to go on the defensive.

Y/N turned her attention to Uraraka, who was trying to use her quirk to lift debris and create obstacles. Y/N threw a weight, hitting a piece of debris mid-air and sending it flying back towards Uraraka. The unexpected move caught Uraraka off guard, and she struggled to regain control.

"Now, Bakugo!" Y/N shouted. Bakugo didn't need any more prompting. He unleashed a massive explosion, the force of which knocked both Todoroki and Uraraka off their feet. In the chaos, Y/N moved swiftly, using her agility to secure the designated target.

The buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the exercise. Y/N and Bakugo stood victorious, their breaths heavy from the exertion. Y/N felt a rush of satisfaction, the thrill of their teamwork and success washing over her.

"Not bad," Bakugo said, a grudging note of respect in his voice. "You kept up."

"You too," Y/N replied, a smile on her face. "We make a pretty good team."

As they made their way back to the rest of the class, All Might's voice boomed out in praise.

 "Excellent work, Y/N and Bakugo! You demonstrated great teamwork and strategic thinking. This is what it means to be a hero!"

Y/N felt a sense of pride swell within her. She glanced at Bakugo, who was already looking ahead, his eyes still burning with determination. She knew that this was just the beginning, and she was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
