Tw: mention of old scars, ed

And so, the next day, Sky arrived at the Camerons' house. Rafe had already left. He told her he would meet her after he played golf with Topper.

Sarah greeted him. "Hi, Sky. How can I help you ?" she smiled. "Hi, Sarah, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm going to the restaurant with Rafe tonight and I was wondering if you could help me get ready." she asked.

Sarah took her by the wrist and dragged her to her room. Like Rafe, the cameron's room was huge. Only, in the young kook's room, there was more wardrobe and clothing. Skylar sat on the bed, waiting for her dress to be chosen. After several minutes, Sarah walked towards her friend, a dress in hand.

Unlike the other dress, this one was black and tight. It had a low neckline. The dress was slightly slit at the level of the thigh. It was short and sleeveless.

The dress was beautiful. "Go change yourself in the bathroom."

Sky tried it on, pulling the fabric over her body. She liked the look. Only, her scars were starting to get white and disappear, she hated it and loved it at the same time. She took the foundation from the counter and applied it to her body. Sarah had some of the best makeup on the island. She could afford the best makeup, not like Sky. Even though she would have liked to own the best skin creams, the most beautiful jewels and the most beautiful mascaras, she could only buy a mascara for 4 euros.

The foundation covered everything, to her great relief. Rafe had already seen her wounds, she did not want him to see these old scars.

Sky left the bathroom, and Sarah smiled by seeing her, proud of her choice. "Go! You don't need make up, you're so perfect." reassured gently the sister of Rafe.

Sky thanked Sarah and took again the twinkie which she had taken to JB. She returned in the restaurant. It was big and magnificent, several kooks ate there. A waiter came to see her. "Hi, do you have a reservation?" he asked. "Uh, yes. On behalf of Rafe Cameron." she said.

"Follow me."

The waiter led her to the back floor. When she arrived, no one was there. Except Rafe, who was already smiling at her.

He moved closer to her and kissed her cheek as the waiter left the room. "Hi, it's so beautiful here." she smiled.

What she didn't know was that Rafe had taken the best seat in the restaurant and had made a special request that no one be on the same floor as him, which had cost him several hundred dollars...

But he was glad he had done it for her, the girl he felt that way about deep down. Something he had never felt before. Everything had happened so fast.

They started to talk, to laugh. The waiter arrived with the menus. She flipped through hers.

"Fuck, Rafe. Water for 8$ ?" she cursed.

"I don't care, take what you want. I'll spoil you."

She ended up having a salad with nothing to drink while he had pasta with a cocktail.

She received her salad about ten minutes later. "I love your cheeks." he said randomly. "Really ? I used to hate them." she confided.

Well, used.... she still didn't like them. she still had childlike cheeks. She had tried everything, drinking a liter of water a day, stopping eating sugar for two weeks, stopping eating at all, but she still had her cheeks.

"Don't. I love them." he smiled at her.

"I like when you're like that, Rafe. I mean... when you're not beating my friends." she laughed.

He lowered his head, regretting it a little. Just a little.

"Yeah, won't happen anymore."

...

Rafe took a deep breath.

"Look, Sky. I wanna say something to you. Listen to me, don't stop me. A few months ago I hated you, you pissed me off, you were a pogue, your friends were pussy and all. But I went to Barry's house one day and my dad told me about yours. I rode on your bike thinking it was your brother's but I must admit I have no regrets about crashing it. I took you home, you let me sleep in the same bed as you. You didn't know if I could have hurt you. You trusted me a little. And nobody ever trusted me in the first place. You never took it out on me, like I do. You paid for me when you had nothing. That's what I love about you Sky. You don't have much to give but you give it all for the ones you love. And I love that. That's the problem, by the way. I've never felt that way about anyone, even one nighters. The heart beating when you see them again, wanting to defend them when someone speaks badly of you, wanting to see them again, taking them to the most expensive restaurant in town. I think I've fallen under your spell."

He knelt down in front of her. Sky was sitting on his bed, she watched him talk, savoring every word he said.

"Look, I've known you for a few months now. And it's been a few months, I've never felt so much happiness and sadness at the same time. The happiness of knowing you but the sadness that you are not mine."

"I wanna be yours, Rafe." she whispered, pressing her forehead to his.

"So be my girlfriend." he said, his words sounding like a plea.

"I am."
