Chap 8: The presentations

I'm sorry for the delay in updates I'm have exams, but I'm done soon and come back soon with lots of updates. In this story Robert's mother is still alive.

1 month later.

Pov Andy:

Today we're going to a restaurant with Robert to tell my dad that we're together. I'm stressed by his reaction; I hope he takes it well. This morning I woke up early, didn't get much sleep due to my stress. As I was having breakfast, Robert went downstairs and came up behind me, placing his hands on my waist.

Robert: "Hello my love, come with me I have to show something" he said to me tenderly.

I then turned around kissing him and followed him upstairs, really wondering what he wanted to show me. When I got there, he directed me to the bathroom, and I saw the tub filled with rose petals and hot water with candles around it.

Pov Robert:

I didn't get much sleep that night, I checked to see if Andy was sleeping, and I wanted her to feel protected more than usual because I knew she was stressing about meeting her father. I noticed she woke up very regularly and got up early. So, I decided to give her a little surprise when she thought I was sleeping. I got up and went to the bathroom, run a bath, light some candles, and put rose petals in the bath. After having everything prepared, I went down to see my darling to tell her to go upstairs.

Once she got to the bathroom, she was very surprised.

Andy: "OMG, baby, how cute did you do that? "

Robert: "I heard you get up early and I know you didn't sleep well so I wanted you to relax before going to a restaurant"

She then hugged me and kissed me tenderly "thank you very much" she said afterwards.

Andy: "Are you joining me? She asked, I didn't hesitate for a second, we both needed a moment of love together.

Pov Person:

They then both entered the bath Andy placed against Robert's chest who massaged his shoulders, and both were enjoying the moment.

Andy: "Thanks, it makes me feel so good, I love you so much" she said, she was really touched by Robert's attention.

Robert: "I love you too my love" he replied before kissing her on the neck.

After spending 1 hour in the bath and getting ready, the two of them left for the restaurant. In the car Robert held Andy's hand and kissed her at times while reassuring her. Andy noticed that Robert was trying to hide his stress, so she told him:

Andy: "Everything will be fine, I love you"

Even though she was also stressed out and unsure of her words, she felt the need to tell him.

Once at the restaurant, Robert and Andy noticed that Pruitt had already arrived. They didn't let go of the car to the table they had reserved. Andy gave his father a hug and Robert squeezed his hand.

Andy: "Hello dad, how are you? "

Pruitt: "I'm fine thanks, so why did you want the three of us to eat?" Andy got tense. It was then that Robert started to speak.

Robert: "We wanted to eat with you Pruitt because we wanted to tell you that we are going out together, and I want to tell you that I love your daughter, she is the most beautiful person I have met since the death of my wife, I want to spend my life by his side, so it felt right to let you know rather than find out from someone else. Pruitt had listened intently to Robert, he found him very respectful even though he didn't like the fact that his daughter was dating another firefighter, he had never seen her so happy.
