Chap 2: Unexpected

The next captain was due to be appointed within the next two weeks which arrived. Andy had many questions, she would have loved to be named, but she knows she lost all of her chances in the Alarm 5 fire in a tall building.

Pov Andy

I woke up this morning in Ryan's arms, we had been together for 1 month now. I love him but I happen to think back to this beautiful boy I had met at that party about 3 months ago now it seems to me.

I was on my mind when I heard Ryan talk to me.

Ryan: "Andy! you hear me? "

Andy: "Oh yes yes sorry, what were you saying? "

Ryan: "Did you sleep well?" "

Andy: "Alright and you? "It was actually wrong, last night I slept very badly, I don't like to say that, but I was thinking of Robert ...

Ryan: "Yeah, I'm going to make breakfast, you can go and get ready," he said, kissing me.

When Ryan left to make breakfast, I tried to go back to sleep but when I saw the time, I knew I didn't have time if I didn't want to be late.

After taking my shower, I went to join Ryan and we had lunch. Then I left for the station.

When I arrived, everyone was there except Dean who would be a little late because his daughter was sick. After everyone had breakfast that I didn't have, I just had coffee, we all left to do our chores.

Pov person

The alarm went off in the morning over a fire in a school. All left for the scene. The fire was gigantic and station 23a was called in for reinforcement. Jack Gibson was acting captain on this shift.

Gibson: "Montgomery, Hughes you take care of the victims coming out; Herrera, Bishop, Warren rescue mission you will enter the building while it is stable !! "

All went to their tasks.

The rescue team had been in for 20 minutes now when suddenly there was an explosion and part of the school collapsed.

Gibson: "Herrera is answering!? Warren!? Bishop!? Answer!

Warren and Bishop: "copy"

Bishop: "Herrera was where the explosion happened!! "Andy, can you hear me ?! "

Ryan was at the scene and saw everything that happened. He heard Bishop talking to Gibson and got mad at Jack for doing something, but he heard Andy.

Herrera: "Copy," she said weakly, "I don't have much oxygen anymore, I don't know where I am and I'm around..." She passed out before she could finish her sentence.

Gibson: "Herrera!! Andy !! "

Warren: "We're looking for him, there are no more civilians in the building"

Ben and Maya started to walk towards the explosion site trying to hear the beep that goes on all the firefighters when they are immobilized for too long.

Outside, Station 23 will take care of watering the building and putting out the flames.

A few minutes later, Warren and Bishop heard Andy beep and cleared the debris on her. Maya connected her oxygen to Andy's who was unconscious. After the three of them got out, Montgomery and Hughes took Andy straight to Gray Sloan Hospital with Ryan.

Once at the hospital, Andy was still unconscious. The whole team joined them and waited anxiously in the waiting room for Dr. Meredith Gray who had taken care of Andy. Maya took Ryan's hand to reassure him.
