We start driving, and it has become very silent. This is a perfect time to tell you a little about myself.
My name is Maddie Dempsey, as you may already know. I'm a 14 year old girl. I live in New York City, New York. I go to TreeWood High School, and I'm bullied. Almost every day. Not only am I bullied at school, but I am cyber bullied. I used to cut my wrists. I decided to stop, although it was hard, but it hurt. ALOT. The scars are still there on my arm, but they have faded from since my last time I cut, which was 3 months ago. I have light brown hair and blue eyes. I've always had a crush on Chris Johnson, and this year we just started being "friends."
"Mads!" My mom says, sounding confused. "We're home now, sweetie!"
"Oh! I'm sorry Mom," I say, and quickly get out of the car. I walk inside, grab a granola bar, and walk right up to my room. I pass my older brother, Sean, who's playing video games in his room. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He's 16 years old, goes to the same school as me, but doesn't notice me get bullied. He has been sick with a horrible cold (or at least we think cold) for a few weeks. In fact, he's going to the doctor today.
I open the door to my room and sit down at my desk. I open my laptop, and click on Safari. I then go to Twitter, and see that I have 15 notifications. All of them were something that one of my bullies tagged me in. It was horrible. I'm not even going to mention it on here it was that bad. Terrible words were used, and they described me in such a bad way that they even said, "If you tell anyone about anything we do to you, you will regret it." Im not sure what they mean though, and I am scared. That is why no one knows about them bullying me, except my best friend Kelley. I close my laptop and put my head down on top of it and close my eyes for a few seconds. I then get up, and turn around. My brother is standing there, mouth open.
"Sean! What are you doing in here?" I ask, worried that he saw what was on my screen.
"Maddie! I saw that - what was that?!" He had tears rolling down his cheeks.
"I get bullied, okay?" I say, annoyed that he found out.
"Mads," he began to speak. "How did I not see this happening?!"
"I don't know, I guess you didn't pay attention to me," I say, sadly.
He pulled me into a hug. I pulled away and reached up on my shelf to get my laptop charger, and my sleeve suddenly rolled down. Sean saw my cuts.
"MADDIE! You're not going to be in trouble, I promise, but I'm going to tell mom," he says as he runs out of my room. He ran too fast that I couldn't catch him to stop him. I burst into tears and lay on my bed. What's going to happen next? What if they hurt me for telling? Will I get a therapist? I run into the bathroom. I didn't want anything to happen to me. What was worth living anymore? What was the point?! I get bullied everyday anyways. I pull open the medicine cabinet and pull out any medicines I can find. I slam the container on the ground as I try to open the lid. My mom slams the door open.
"MADDIE!!!" She begins to bawl her eyes. She quickly grabs the medicine container and calls 911.
"MOM! I DONT WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE! JUST LET ME GO!" I say, pulling the medicine from her.
"NO MADDIE! NO!" She says as we hear sirens fade in from down the street.
Everything goes black.
