— Harry's POV
"Where's Leo?" I asked this master of mine who was leisurely sipping his coffee at the outdoor table of a cafe. I just left them for a while to do his errand of picking some books.
Caden told me to take a seat and asked for the bag that I bought. Accompanying him to the town is a weekly schedule. It's either we followed him or he went alone. Besides, with his common features and lax manner, people rarely recognized him as the lord of this territory. Those who realized act indifferent as the man himself never imposed his title.
"Picking Anya and Mica," Caden finally answered after checking the book that he ordered.
I raised my eyebrow. "He volunteered?" Even after all these years, Leo still opposed the idea of the current befriending some Omegas. Such an old-school way of thinking.
"They are in Nana's place," Caden said as he started to open one of the books.
Well, that's explained a lot. I know Leo has a crush on that town doctor. I sighed feeling a little jealous. I recently was turned down by my crush, and here my best friend has a brighter love story. What's my flaw?
"Should I perhaps apply to be a knight?" I asked. Every servant of the Sealgair house had had some self-defense training. And I who directly served Caden, the partner of the current lord, has skills at above-average. Having a knight title would surely attract more girls.
"Do you want me to help you train? We can spar together?" Caden proposed in between his reading.
I immediately shook my head. First, the idea of injuring the lord's partner is insane. Besides, I know Caden's skill is far above me, even when he rarely uses it. He only trained with Master Darren and was actually able to go head-to-head.
"Harry?" A voice called me. I looked up and saw a young woman looking at me. "What are you doing here?" Fiona, Leo's sister, asked.
Her question is harmless. It was a weekday so I was expected to be working, not sitting at a cafe downtown. "I'm accompanying Sir Caden," I said. Fiona realized the person at the other side of the table. She immediately straightened up and gave a slight bow.
"I'm sorry for not recognizing you, Sir," she said.
Caden only chuckled. "It's okay. It means my disguise works, right?"
"Sir, this is Leo's youngest sister, Fiona," I introduced her out of courtesy.
"Nice to meet you," Caden offered her hand for a handshake and Fiona awkwardly accepted it. "Please, have a seat," he said.
I glared at Fiona to leave but she didn't even bother to look at me and took a seat. I met her quite often when I visited Leo. She really is a curious child so she probably would not want to miss the opportunity of getting to know the current Lord.
"Do you want something to drink?" Caden asked.
"Anything, Sir," Fiona said and Caden immediately ordered a cup of tea for her.
I could only sigh in this weird gathering and tried to not be bothered by it too much.
"So, you are Leo's sister?" Caden tries to break the silence and start small conversations.
"Yes, Sir! I am Leo's youngest sister."
"Just relax. You don't have to be so formal," Caden chuckled.
Fiona gave an awkward smile and sipped her tea to calm herself.
"Could you tell me how he was when he was young?"
