Chapter 10: Girlfriends

Lisa sighed as she thought through the whole situation. The only way to save Jennie is to become her girlfriend, which she doesn't really mind if it's the only way to save her. Lisa sighed again and looked at Jennie who sniffing with her head burried in her hands.

"Jennie... Look at me." Lisa knelt in front of Jennie and cupped her small face in her hands. Jennie looked at Lisa with tears filled into her eyes.

"If this is the only way to save you Jen then I will do anything for you. I just want you to be okay, I don't want to loose you... so..." Lisa swallowed. Jennie waited for Lisa to continue.

"... so... I like you.... Will you be my girlfriend Jennie?" Lisa finally said it. She sighed.

"Huh?" Jennie stared at her dumbfounded.

"What?" Lisa frowned at her. Wasn't this how it should be? Jennie should say yes and everything will be fine right?

"Wh-What?" Jennie looked at Lisa with confusion.

"What?"

"What did you just said?" Jennie asked, her voice sounded very little and vulnerable.

Lisa sighed. "I said I like you... Will you be my girlfriend?" Lisa repeated.

Jennie's eyes widen in shock. "Wh-What really???"

Lisa chuckled a little. Jennie was acting so cute being dumb. "Yes Nini, I like you. Will you be m--"

"YES!"

They both chuckled. Jennie leapt into Lisa's arms and hugged her tightly. "I love you." she told her, her voice muffled into Lisa's chest.

Lisa smiled and patted her back. And then they waited for something to happen.

They waited.

And they waited.

And they kept waiting. But nothing happened.

"Why is nothing happening Jennie?" Lisa asked Jennie who was still in her arms in half cat and half human form.

Jennie looked up to her with her lips quivering. "i dont know..." she started to trembled which made Lisa alarmed that the girl is going to start crying again.

"Shh...don't cry..." Lisa tried to calm her. She started thinking again. She knows Jennie is not in a state to do any thinking. Jennie said she wished to be her girlfriend. According to the conditions, if she becomes Jennie's girlfriend they could break the curse. Now she officially became her girlfriend so why is Jennie still not full human? Lisa bite her lips. What should she do now?

"It feels unreal." Jennie whispered. Lisa looked at her.

"What feels unreal?" she asked.

"You being my girlfriend feels so unreal."

That's it! Everything is coming to sense now. Lisa now understood the situation. Jennie still can't believe that they are girlfriend. She has still not accepted it that is why the curse is still not lifted. She have to make Jennie believe that they really are together now.

"Jen..." Lisa called and Jennie looked at her again

"Ye-" before Jennie could say anything Lisa leaned forward and captured her lips with hers. This is the only way to make Jennie believe it. It is something not done by friends. It is something done by two people when they like or love each other. As this is their first kiss, this kiss adds more meaning to it.

They pulled apart from the kiss, Jennie looked like she was in a daydream.

"Does it feel real now?" Lisa asked.

"huh?" and then suddenly everything became bright. Lisa closed her eyes because of the sudden brightness that surrounded Jennie. Just like that slowly the brightness faded away and there was Jennie, in her full human form.

Jennie looked around her body and saw the she has turned back to normal. A big gummy smile appeared on her face, she leapt forward and hugged Lisa tightly. "We did it Lili."

Lisa smiled and hugged back. "Welcome home Nini."

"Let's go." Lisa held Jennie's hand in hers and walked in the school gate.

"We do look like a couple don't we?" Jennie blushed looking at their joined hands.

"Yes a couple of idiots." They turned around to see Irene glaring at them. Seulgi was beside Irene with Jisoo, Chaeyoung and Nayeon.

Jennie pouted. "You are a meanie Bae."

Irene rolled her eyes. "Can't you just be thankful of us? We skipped our exams just for your sake. Don't you know we were so worried? Why didn't you told us before about this cat thing. If you had told us, it would have been easy to help you." Irene started to rant at Jennie, first thing in the morning. "Calm down Babe." Seulgi caressed Irene's arm to calm her down.

"All those things aside, I'm really happy that everything is fine now." Chaeyoung smiled looking at them.

Just then a male voice was heard calling Jennie. "Jennie?!" Mino came running towards Jennie when he saw her.

"Oh my god! Are you okay? I heard you got missing? You haven't attended the school for 3 days." he asked. Mino was so engrossed with Jennie that he failed to see her holding hands with Lisa.

"Hmm... I'm fi-" Jennie couldn't finish her words as Lisa pulled her back and stepped in between Mino and her.

"Yes she is doing good. Better than before actually." Lisa answered him instead.

Mino frowned. "Huh? I asked Jennie not you."

"It's okay, I can answer any questions you have." Lisa stared at his face.

"Who are you to answer on behalf of her?" Mino challenged her and took a step forward.

Lisa took a step forward towards Mino. "Her girlfriend, duh!" She rolled her eyes. Mino was left dumbstruck. He blinked a few times.

The girls laughed at him. Jennie hid behind Lisa as she blushed. She is still not used to hearing Lisa calling her girlfriend.

"Have a great day Mino." Lisa patted his shoulder and went into the school building along with Jennie and her friends following them.

"You've become quite confident." Jennie remarked still blushing.

Lisa nodded. "Yes. All thanks to you." she turned her head towards Jennie and kissed her lips in front of the whole school, declaring that she is the only one who could do that.
