Chapter 8: Missing

Their dinner went very well. Lisa was just worrying too much for nothing. Jennie's parents were so nice to her. Her mother cooks so well. She ate bellyful. Jennie's father has a very nice humour. Lisa and him went along very well. They invited her again for dinner which Lisa promised she will soon.

Few days passed and now is the time for exam. Lisa made Jennie solve past 5 years question papers. Even though Jennie always made some excuse to not to study but Lisa made her sit in front of her and solve all the papers. And Jennie being whipped for Lisa can't refuse of course.

"Hopefully you studied last night?" Lisa asked Jennie as they entered their school gate. Today was their English Exam.

"Yes I did! You were their the whole time!"

"Yeah but I think instead of studying, you were watching me the whole time." Lisa said. Last night Jennie and Lisa studied together through video call. Lisa knew Jennie won't study if she is not there. So she decided to study together with video call so she can keep an eye on Jennie.

"No I worked hard!!!" Jennie pouted.

"Yeah yeah we will see." Lisa said and smiled slightly. She knows Jennie worked hard. Hopefully she will pass with flying colours.

~After Exam~

"So how was it?" Lisa asked. As soon as the exam ended she sprinted towards Jennie.

Jennie showed her the biggest gummy smile. "I have never written so much ever in my exam!"

"I hope you wrote all correct answers."

"You taught me! I trust you!" Jennie smiled and cling onto Lisa as they walk towards the cafeteria for lunch.

The Next Day...

Lisa was sitting on her chair, reviewing for the exam. It was 8:15 a.m and exam starts at 9. She have a bit of time in her hand to review but she couldn't focus. Jennie wasn't here yet. Lisa was starting to get worried about Jennie. But she tried to calm down. Maybe Jennie has slept in, maybe she was just running late. They still have more than half an hour. Lisa hoped that Jennie will be here by then.

Twenty minutes passed and Jennie was still not here. Lisa started to loose her patience. She have already texted and called her but Jennie is not picking up her phone. She looked around the class to search for Jennie's friends. She found the girl with icey glare. Lisa remembered that her name was Irene. She stood up and went towards her.

"H-Hey." Lisa said nervously.

Irene was panicking while looking at her phone. When she heard Lisa she looked up.

"Do you know where Jennie is? She is not here yet and she is not picking up my call." Lisa asked.

"Yours too? I'm trying to call but that bitch ain't picking up my phone. Where the hell is she?" Irene said frowning.

Lisa bit her lips. "Do you have her parents' phone number? Maybe you can call them and know?" Lisa suggested.

"Good idea." Irene said. She went through her phone just then a man came in the class room with an announcement.

"Miss Irene, Miss Nayeon, Miss Chaeyoung, Miss Jisoo and Miss Lalisa, you all are requested to visit the principal's office immediately." The man announced.

They all stood up and looked at each other with confusion. The whole class went quiet. Why does the principal wants them? And why now? It's almost the time for exam.

They did not think about it and quickly went to the principal's office together.

When they reached the office they saw Jennie's parents sitting together with the principal and there was a guy in police uniform too. They all became worried. Jennie's mom looked like she was about to cry. Something was wrong.

"So you all are Miss Jennie Kim's friends?" The principal asked.

They nodded.

The police officer stood up. "Do any of you have any idea where Miss Kim would be? She has gone missing."

"W-What?" Lisa whispered to herself in disbelief.

"I talked to her last night. Everything was fine." Lisa said.

Jennie's dad nodded. "When her mom went to her room in the morning to wake her up, she wasn't there."

The girls gulped. They all fell into their thoughts trying to figure out where Jennie might be.

"Do you have any idea? We have already searched the surrounding area near her house and school" The police officer asked again.

"N-No." Irene shook her. She tried to recall all the possible places where Jennie might be.

The officer sighed. "If you remember anything important, inform me."

"Yes sir." The girls replied.

"Go to your class, you have exams." The principal said. The girls went out of the office.

"What is happening???" Chaeyoung said, she is already crying. Jisoo immediately wiped her tears.

"Jennie is not a girl who will run away or anything." Irene said.

"Yeah our Jendeuk is strong!" Nayeon agreed.

Lisa shook her head. "I'm going to find her." She turned around to leave but Irene caught her wrist.

"We will find her together." Irene said with determination.

"B-But we have exams. How are we going to escape from the guards???" Chaeyoung said wiping her tears.

"We have to sneak out." Jisoo pursed her lips. "We can sneak out from the back of the school. We need to climb over the wall."

Lisa nodded. "I will do anything to get her back."

They all went to the school backyard. They helped each other and climbed over the wall to escape.

"Chaeyoung and I are going towards the train station." Jisoo said.

"Nayeon and I will go and search nearby malls and hotels." Irene said.

"I'll search for her everywhere." Lisa said as she started to run away.

Lisa first reached her house while searching all the way. She took her bicycle and took off. She ride to the all possible destination she could think of. She kept yelling Jennie's named, hoping to get any response.

After almost an hour of looking for Jennie but still she couldn't find her. She stopped to think where she could be. In the midst of panick she can't think straight. She tried to calm down and closed her eyes. She imagined Jennie. Then suddenly like a flash she remembered a place she should have looked first-
