"Today marks the 2nd anniversary of Jeong Seyeon's death--"
Seojun sighs. Two years ago today, he witnessed something that would kill him inside everyday. And now, 2 years later, TV reports, social media posts about Seyeon, and the whispers on the corridors as the students stare at him walking, still kill him all the same.
"Isn't that the ex trainee who was supposed to debut with Seyeon?"
Yes, yes he is. They were supposed to debut together. Best friends since childhood, became trainees together, debut together. That story will definitely sell. The public will buy it and they will love the story. But it didn't get to happen.
"That guy, Han Seojun, reports said he didn't even flinch when Seyeon jumped"
He did. He even ran after him, but after he jumped. His legs were numb when he jumped, he couldn't move, he couldn't even stand straight. Only after the realization hit him on what had happened, he let himself run to the edge of the building, dropping in his knees, begging to the skies and whatever entities watching him to bring Seyeon back and take him instead.
"Idol and Actor Lee Suho pays a tribute to his late friend, saying-"
Ah that bastard. The bastard who started all this. The one who left first. They offered him a chance to go solo, as an actor and a singer, but he must leave his group. He must leave Seyeon and Seojun to uncertainties in order to do that. Fuck, that bastard took the offer. He fucking betrayed them. That betrayal will lead to a person jumping off a building but it doesn't matter right? Seojun gets the blame and Suho gets to pay tribute under the support of millions of his fans.
"Yah, I heard that that guy and Lee Suho fought because of a girl"
No. They became enemies after Suho betrayed them. He assumes the skies clearly hated him because he had to go to the same school as Lee Suho. And his assumption was definitely right because he liked a girl whose heart already belonged to Lee Suho. And the skies decided to torture him again when he lost to Lee Suho, again.
"So it's true that he moved here because he got rejected?"
Yes. Well, no, but yes. She rejected him, and it fucking hurted. It hurted, it hurts still. He had been rejected before this. Plenty of times. One of the memorable ones was Hong Shi-A. People say first love always hurts anyway. But when Lim Jukyung ran to the arms of Lee Suho after rejecting him, the pain was something else. How much more does his life has to be destroyed because of that one person?
"His father even spent almost a million pound trying to get him in here"
Nope, wrong. His mother did. She makes hundreds of millions in a year from her hotel. Surely bribing this school with a fee millions won't hurt. Gosh his mother is a beauty, in and out. She might be a little savage, and she shouts a lot, but she is the best human being he has ever seen. His father? The complete opposite. Cold, calculating, abusive. No one knows tho, no one knows how many times his father slapped him and beat him up. No one knows how many times people witnessed it that he had to beat them up in the end. It was his mother who insisted to send him here, away from those who hurt him. And he's thankful for that.
"Bet he's the one who killed his best friend"
A punch landed on a student's face. The people around them swear they can hear a crack caused by that punch.
"Say anything you want, but say that again, I might actually kill you"

Soojin held herself back from laughing when Seojun punched a boy in the hallways. She heard what the boy said tho, so no wonder Seojun did that.

suho.lee missing you bro.
Soojin scoffs at the view on her phone screen. For a second she wonders why she still follows him on IG. Then she remembers, it's because her father told her to.
And jukyung? Forget her, Soojin immediately unfollows her and blocks her.
This is her first time opening her social media after a long time. She doesn't exactly know why she has to accidentally click the IG app today out of all days, but she wished she hadn't.
Honestly, seeing that name again ignites a pain she's been trying to forget. Gosh she even agreed to be engaged to Baek Kyung to make the pain go away. It didn't, it doesn't.
Lee suho. A scoff came out of her again remembering that name. She liked him first. She fucking liked him first. But he never even bothered to notice. While Im Jukyung? She snatched him away with that make-up covered ugly face and zero efforts. Life isn't fair indeed.

Well ain't that fucked up. Seeing straight A-s on her report cards is more important than seeing his daughter alive. Lee Suho was the blueprint for her father, since her very first day of school. If he gets 10 A-s, she must get 10 A-s as well if not 11. She was always compared to him. The Gods must've hated her because they had never let her win. She always lost to Lee Suho. He never stopped winning, even when he knew she gets beaten up when she lost to him. He only offered words of comfort, which didn't help.
But... He helped her. He fucking helped Jukyung. Now she knows why, he wanted to spend more time with her because he liked her. But how could someone treat a pig like her better than they treat a best friend who had been there for him since his kindergarten days?
If anyone holds grudges it's Kang Soojin. Revenge is always on her agenda when she does. It only took one picture of Jukyung's real face for Soojin to complete her agenda. One click of post, and there, it's done. A week later the whole school turned against her, even Seojun (which she now knows why, because he liked Jukyung too). Everyone hated her for doing that to Jukyung, a girl loved by the whole school.
Thank God her father approved her choice of going to a boarding school far away from home. He was the happiest man alive when he sent her away, and she was the happiest person alive when she boarded that plane to UK.
She never really made peace with her past. So it shocks her when seojun started talking to her a few days ago, although it was just small talk. She thought he hates her. But then again, he knows no one in this school other than her and his roommate who happens to be her 'fiancé'. Oh add her roommate too who happens to be his seat mate. The world is such a small place, isn't it?
"Goodness God's sake" Soojin jumps a little seeing the view in front of her. It's nothing special, really. It's just an empty corridor, with a first year student tied to a chair. Next to the kid lies a folded piece of paper. Unfolding the piece of paper, her lips form a thin a smile.
A little present I saved for you.
P.s : kid talked trash about you.
Have fun, ㅂㄱ
She stares at the piece of paper for awhile before muttering,
