[Avengers Tower, New York; Approximately 1 hour later]

The team's jet docked on the landing pad of the Tower, being rolled further inside as the platform retracted. Once fully stopped, the bay hatch of the aircraft opened, allowing five of the seven to exit. Natasha and Bruce stepped out, escorting Clint on a stretcher with some other medical personnel. Next was Thor, carrying the case containing Loki's scepter, followed by Darren, walking off with the intent of heading right to the locker room, to get his suit off, to put on some normal, clean clothes.

On his way off, he exchanged a polite nod with Maria Hill, bringing a tablet to Cap, in order to debrief on their surprise entries late into the fight during the mission. "Lab's all set up, boss.", she said, just happening to be looking at Tony. "Oh, no, he's the boss. I just design and pay for everything, to make everyone look cooler. No big deal...", Tony said snarkily.

"What's the word on Strucker?", Steve asked her, stepping over to look at what she had to share info-wise. "In NATO custody.", she replied. "And the two enhanced?", he followed up, glancing over at Darren currently stepping onto the elevator.

"Twins; Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. They were orphaned as children when a shell hit their home and killed their parents.", Hill replied, showing him the tablet, currently showing footage of the two in question, supposedly in a protest of some kind.

"What can they do, exactly?", the captain asked. "He has an improved metabolism and increased thermal homeostasis, and she has neuroelectric interfacing; things such as telekinesis, mental manipulation.", the former SHIELD agent replied, pausing for a second to notice Cap's confused look on his face. "He's fast and she's... weird.", she simplifies, which seems to do the trick.

"Well, they're most likely gonna show up again. We'll need to be ready.", Steve says plainly. "It says here they volunteered for the experiment, the whole thing's nuts in my opinion.", she remarked, getting a small smirk out of Steve.

"Right... what kind of monster would let a German scientist perform experiments on them in order to protect their country?", he joked, to which Hill replied with, "We're not at war, Captain." Stepping onto the returned elevator himself, Steve looked at her more serious now. "They are.", he stated, right before the doors closed.

After getting to a lower floor, Darren headed for his temporary bunk in the building, swapping out his somewhat dirty uniform for some normal, civilian clothes. Nothing too nuts, just a t-shirt, jeans, and canvas sneakers. Tony and/or Nat liked to give him grief over his dressing as such really showed his age, or lack thereof, which he waved off, not really having a solid argument.

It made sense though, since he was easily the youngest member of the team, younger than Natasha by a handful of years, which the others never failed to remind him of...

Once he was finished, he decided to go and sit in on the small lab where Clint was getting patched up, using some kind of regeneration machine the team's associate, Dr. Helen Cho had developed.

"You sure you can fix him?", Nat teasingly asked the doctor while smirking at Clint. "I hope so. Pretending to need this guy really brings the team together.", Darren chimed in as he entered, leaning against a counter off to the side of the room. The two exchanged an amused smirk before watching the process of the machine working on his wound.

"There's very little possibility of it going wrong, the molecular process is almost instantaneous. His cells don't know they're bonding with synthetic material.", Helen proudly explained. "She's making tissue from scratch.", Bruce added, sounding somewhat impressed himself. "If you had brought him to my lab, the procedure would only take about twenty minutes.", Dr. Cho continued, walking over to check on something else in the room, as Tony entered, holding a drink carrier with multiple cups of some kind of beverage.
