O i k a w a

Hajime let me go to work today, only if I agreed to stay with him at his place until everything is settled with Daishou. He also said that I have to stay in his office the entire time. But I don't want to be sitting on my ass, doing nothing. I only brought up working because I was bored.

     "Hajime."

     Silence.

     "Haji."

     Silence.

     "Iwaizumi."

The brown haired man lifts his head with a frown on his face. I grin widely and chuckle. "Don't like that do you?"

"Of course not. I told you to call me Hajime, so when you call me Iwaizumi, it scares me."

"Well anyway.. can I do ANYTHING? I'm so bored, it hurts." Groaning in frustration, I toss my head back and place my hands on my face. I'm not even sugarcoating it. My body aches from sitting here, and my heart keeps racing because I want to move around.

I remove my hands at the sound of Hajime sighing. "Fine. Just.. be careful." He says. I jump up from the chair and make a mad dash for the door, leaving Hajime confused.

Swiftly running down the hall, I swing into Makki's office. "THE HELL- WHERE'VE YOU BEEN SHITHEAD?!" He shouts worriedly, standing up from his desk and rushing over to hug me. Gladly, I return the hug.

"Well.." I pause while looking out of Makki's office, before pushing him inside and closing the door. the pinkish haired man crosses his arms over his chest in concern. "I've been at Mr. Iwaizumi's home for a while.."

Makki looks at me with a pale face, blinking every second. "Uh, why?" He asks, sitting on his desk. I sigh, and lean against the wall with my hands in my white jacket pockets.

"Daishou. He drugged me with cyanide in an automatic capsule.. by automatic, I mean, they waited for a specific moment to release the poison from the capsule that was injected into my neck. Even before then, I was still hanging with Mr. Iwaizumi at his place. He's uh.. concerned."

Looking up, Makki raises a brow at me. Still clearly confused. "What more of an explanation do you need, Makki? I just told you everything! And you're still confused!" I slightly shout, pushing myself off the wall and towards the window. Fog covering the city.

"Jesus, what got your panties in a twist?"

     "Nothing."

"Tsk. That's what I thought. I would've thought that Mr. Iwaizumi would keep you in his office if he was concerned or worried."

"Oh, he is. Ever since we kissed, he's been-"

My eyes widen as Makki spins me around with brute force and glares into my soul. "Kissed. YOU. KISSED?!" He shouts, causing me to put my hand on his mouth.

"Shut up Makki.. yes we kissed." Before continuing, I remove my hand and gently shove the man away. "But as I was saying.. he's been way more on edge. Like I'm some kind of prized possession that needs to be looked after."

"Well? What do you expect? That man never took an interest in anyone. Nor did he ever try to save one of his employees from Daishou's hands, when he sent them to grab files. He puts people in danger for his own business, that he runs. He's a bad man, but nothing compared to that snake. So of course, it's basic knowledge that if he found someone he truly had feelings for, he'd do anything to keep them safe."

I thin my lips and look towards Makki. I guess what he says is true. Why am I now realizing that he's a bad guy? I mean, he basically kills people for his own selfish wants. I guess it's just bad luck that I keep getting involved with bad people.

"Ugh, I know that face. Stop overthinking." Makki says, interrupting my thoughts. Peering over my shoulder, I pout at Makki. Which only earns a chuckle from the man in response. Suddenly, the door is kicked open, making us turn around.

My heart rate fastens at the enraged female in the doorway. Burgundy hair in a ponytail, and greenish blue eyes, staring at me. "Oh god, what do you want?" I ask, placing my hand on my hip, looking down at the woman.

"You." Himari smirks before attempting to reach for my neck. What the fuck does she even want with me. Before she's able to, Makki sneaks up behind her and grabs her arm, pinning it to her back, causing her to yelp slightly. He then pushes her against the wall, tightening his grip.

"What do you want with Tooru, slut." He asks lowly. I stay standing in the corner, watching.

The woman laughs bitterly, glaring at me. "That prick is stealing Haji from me."

"Ok, FIRST OF ALL, he's not an object. Secondly, I think I have more of a chance with him than your sorry ass, does." The words that come out of my mouth is hostile. Making Makki and the woman look at me with both fear, and confusion.

"SINCE WHEN DID YOU BECOME SO BOLD-" Himari shouts, before Makki urges her to shut up by tightening his grip more. This bitch has been annoying me since the day I first got here. Hajime wouldn't be mad that I finally put her in her place, right? Nah, he wouldn't.

Makki makes eye contact with me before letting Himari go, not without pushing her against the wall more. The woman quickly turns around and glares at me with furrowed brows. I smile lightly at her, but she knows it's fake. Only because she pulls off that smile every day. And expects people to actually fall for it.

With a couple steps forward, I tower over her and look down. Her entire body freezing in place. "You and Isaac work for Daishou right? You and Yukio are stealing files from Hajime, right? You think you can have Hajime when you're betraying him, right?"

Himari frowns up at me, allowing me to see my reflection in her glossy eyes. Her body stiffens once more before I speak. "When you see Isaac again.. tell him I said that he's a scared little kid who's head is in the gutter.. making him think he can win me over. Everyone knows he stands no chance against Hajime."

"Now scram!" I raise my arm, and point to the door of Makki's office. Without a moment's hesitation, she hauls ass out of the room. I scoff and cross my arms over my chest, turning to look at my friend, who's face is dumbfounded.

"Don't ask." I mutter with my eyebrows furrowed.

A/N: Ugh, writer's block sucks ass. I write better with SakuAtsu stories, and with things that I'm generally interested in.. but no backing out of this story now. Needa wrap this up soon or else this is gonna turn into Adversity because of how many chapters I wrote just to get to half of the plot line. It was an Ereri story, but I unpublished it because I hated seeing the "discontinued" on the title.
