Chapter 12

Learning now how the killer managed to work its magic and remove itself from the security cameras and make them move.. I'm even more intimidated. I feel like it's my job to find out who this is and kill them myself if needed. Amy told me to speak to the cops. I think I need to take her advice and do that. Figure out a way to kind of "trap" this person. You know? Get them caught. I grab my phone and Dial Officer Tom's number. He finally answers after 3 rings. "Hey officer Tom it's eye ca... Lindy. It's lindy." I say quickly correcting myself. "Hey lindy.. how are you? Haven't spoken to you since that one night". He says in a calm tone, as if he wants to bring it up again. I roll my eyes and smack my teeth annoyed.

"Officer Tom listen to me. Listen to me very carefully, okay?" I ask him sounding like I'm about to give him the biggest lecture of all time. Which I kind of want to, but that's not why I called. "Okay". He agrees and waits for me to speak. I hold my phone closer to my ear so he can hear me clearly.

"I have a plan and I think your going to like it. I want to set up something that could catch this son of a bitch. Now the other day, Catherine said if I needed any help or wanted to help out to call you or her. I want to help, I'm ready. I can't do that if every second your going to remind me of how dangerous things are and how I need to let you do your job. Have you forgotten that this person kidnapped my sister? I still haven't found my damn sister to this day! Have you forgotten that this person killed ben? Your co-worker, my love." I suddenly stop because I'm starting to tear up. I don't hear Tom say anything. I wipe my nose and my tears.

"It's okay lindy, don't cry okay? If you really are serious about working with us, meet us down at the office tomorrow at 5:30 and see what we can do from there". he says as his voice begins to crack as well. At least he's taking me serious now.

"Alright". I tell him, finishing up my sobs then hanging up. Is this what I have to do to get their attention? Cry? What the hell has this world come to. Now that I know what will happen for tomorrow, I have to tell Amy.

I pick my phone back up and dial her number.

"Hello?" She asks sounding all exited in a valley girl voice.

"Hey, I've got some good news".

"What?" She asks. I can tell she is smiling over the phone.

"I'm going to over to the Detectives office tomorrow to speak to officer Tom and Sargent Catherine".

"Really? Are you ready though? You know that is when ben used to work an..."

"Look Amy, I'll be fine; Okay? You wanted me to talk to them and I'm going to do that. You can stop stepping on the back of my shoe about it now."

"Woah! Attitude much?" She asks, then pauses. I stare at the phone.

"No, I'm sorry".

She starts chuckling. "Its fine. So I'll meet you tomorrow after you come back so you can fill me in, right?" A smile forms on my face. "Right". I say then point at the phone agreeing, forgetting she can't see me. "I'll bring Chinese food so we can eat and chat. Sound good?" I smile even harder and giggle a bit. "Sounds great to me". I tell her then start giggling. She joins me then hangs up. Whooaah. Big day ahead of me tomorrow. Can't wait to find this bastard and beat him down and hurt him or her in every way possible. A smirk forms on my face. Paybacks for Ben and Sarah...
