I walk inside the coffee shop dressed in my normal attire. A black leather jacket , plaid button up shirt and black pants with black leather boots. I ask for a coffee and go sit down at the table faced to the window with a newspaper.

"Is that the creamed or non-creamed?" A dark skinned lady says to me sitting at the table next to mine. She has her hair all pinned up and she's wearing a blue blazer. I take a sip of it and say "the creamed".

"They have a secret stash". I say jokingly and giggle a little.

"Ohhh , I just love coffee. I live off of it. You must really like this place." She says to me smiling.

"Umm.. Yea. It's great .. I guess."

"I just noticed that you come here a lot .. Everyday for 2 weeks." She says and then takes a sip of her coffee. After she says that I give her my full attention.

"You noticed me?" I say with a little attitude, raising my eyebrows.

"I noticed that were directly across the street from Jake Normans apartment" she says then looks out the window over there.

"Who are you?" I say, concerned.

"Sargent Catherine shaw head of Hyper crimes unit of NYPD" she says really fast. ".. And I heard you've been running your own surveillance on the suspects. She looks out the window and a guy walks out of the building wearing a all black suit with sunglasses. "Oh look, right on time." She turns to me. "Suspect #1" she says , pulling out a peach colored folder. My eyes glued to him. "Jake Norman. Australian, works as a lawyer , shops organic, first runs then goes to the gym, and is actually the last person on Ben's murderer". she says handing me the folder. "Ryan hassey on the other hand dated the latest victim has one charge on sexual assault. It was dropped due to the lack of evidence. Takes sleeping pills, drinks on average 1.3 liters of vodka a week and recreationally used cocaine. Murderer maybe" she says, finishing and sipping more of her coffee.

"You think this impresses me?" I reply.

"You can sit outside the apartment all night for all I care, but loading spyware into their phone jeopardizes any case we can build against them" she snaps back.

"Well that won't stop me". I say back to her.

"I don't wanna stop you, I want to help you, help us."

"People like me don't work for people like you".

"The police?" She asks. "... The good guys?" She asks smirking taking more sips.

"When your apartment arrested me, I kinda lost faith in authority."

"Yea and that gray area, where you kinda work for us and the bad guys can get real foggy down there" she says with a determined look on her face. " I hate for you to lose your way".

"I'll keep my eyes open" I whisper to her. Handing her back the folder.

"I know the police failed to find your sister and for that i am truly sorry" she says. I know look at her again.

"... But I can make it up to you". She says handing me a card. " My department can give you the access in reason to help people.. Help yourself and find your sister" she says and gets up from the table, leaving. A car pulls up with officer Tom in it. He stares at me through the window and after Sargent Catherine gets in the car he faces the road and pulls off. I stare at them leave .. thinking.
