Chapter 13

Slam! I get out my car and lock the doors instantly. Officer Tom told me to go to a secret department that is held in a pizza store, since the last time this killer texted me and stalked me over my own computer. Who knows where he could be watching me from. I check my phone for any hope that's somebody found a description for my sister as I walk in the pizza doors. Nope, not one person. No notifications, emails, calls or texts. When? When do I get to find her? My mother always told me to protect her before she died and I feel like I failed and let her down. Tom texted me later on today telling me the secret code was "mercy". What kind of code is that to give?

I look around before entering the doors. Doesn't seem like anyone is watching, but I'm sure I made my journey to this door pretty suspicious. I walk inside and is very impressed. Its set up like an actual pizza store. Well it is, but who would have guessed that any secret building is hiding here. There's a tall guy around my age with a blue apron with a red shirt underneath and brown baseball hat at the cash register. He has blue eyes. I walk up to him and say "Mercy". He looks at me like he's scared to say anything. I look at him back and say "they are expecting me." and smile.

"Their names?" He asks with a smile back. I sign. They didn't tell me I had to go through all of this trouble.

"Officer Tom and Sargent Catherine". I tell him very confident then raise my eyebrow. He comes from behind the counter and tells me to walk with him. He goes behind the door where the kitchen is. Walks through the kitchen and goes through another door, which looks like a supply closet with all the mops and cleaning supplies. We go through that and enter another door. I stop.

"Umm.. sir" I say trying to get his attention by tapping his shoulder.

"Yes?" He asks turning around.

"When exactly does this end?" I ask him standing there with my body in an awkward position.

"After we exit this room and go through another door we are there. This is all for protection and secrecy". I nod and he turns around and keeps going. We finally enter the main room and woah! I am really surprised. Looks like i entered another building. Theres glass, clear windows that are outlined in black. Black floors and mini desks spreaded out with desktops on each of them. Standing next to one particular desk is Officer Tom and Sargent Catherine. I walk over to them.

"I see you made it." Sargent Catherine tells me.

"Yes, I did. After the hike I had to take." She starts chuckling, making me join her.

"Okay! Ladies. Are yall ready to get serious now and discuss what we are going to do?"

"Yes". I answer to Him. He walks over to a big desk, I follow him and we sit down. Sargent Catherine is sitting next to him.

"So.. we need to to do something that requires posting on your page asking about going on a date. Now, here is what we will do. You will post "Looking to go on a date with someone special, you can come and pick me up and we will be on our way." That is what caucus their attention. Saying that you will be alone. Whoever shows up is the killer for sure." he says. I look at him and nod my head.

"Okay. I'll do it. So do I have to give them an address and everything and when exactly do I go on this date?" i ask.

"Yes, don't include your exact address but set up something along side the road. The date will start whenever you want it to." Sargent Catherine says.

"Another thing we are going to do is place a camera and microphone on your dress. This microphone has a built in gps. Although we will be following behind you ; just incase you get lost or something." Sargent Catherine says. I sign getting a little scared at the last sentence. I don't want to get lost with a serial killer, but chances are 50 50 and I'll take any chance I can get for a step closer to find my sister.

"I've thought about it, lets do It tomorrow." I tell them, getting a bit exited. At the same time, my palms are all sweaty and I feel very nervous.

"Are you sure you want to do this so soon?" Officer Tom asks. I stare at him with a blank expression.

"Positive". I say with a smirk then get up and exit the building. Revenge, Payback... that's all I want right now.
