I woke up. I felt slightly better, until I thought about how I pushed Henry out the window.
I jumped out of bed and opened my curtains. I opened my window.
I peered over to see if Henry was there if he needed an ambulance. I should've asked at the time if he did. You know, instead of 7 hours later. He wasn't there, thank god. I would've felt so guilty if he was there lying on my front porch needing help.
I sighed with relief until I looked up.
The sky was glowing green.
I'd never seen anything like it. It was so obvious something was wrong.
I got dressed as quickly as I could and ran downstairs.
My mom was watching the TV. She was watching the news.
"Come look at this Alana!" She spoke in a panicked voice.
I ran to the TV.
"Police have arrived at the scene but not sure where they are being held hostage." A news reporter said while I sat down on the couch.
I asked my mom what was wrong, she told me and I gasped.
One of the most dangerous criminals in Swellview, Van Dell, was on a mission for using his new invention for an attempt to end the town of Swellview.
The machine used paint to turn the sky green in Swellview, the paint was his "mark" before he was going to use an illegal explosive to turn the town into rubble. That's what he said in his letter which he sent to the news channel.
Everyone was freaking out, because that wasn't the worst part.
Captain Man and Kid Danger were sent to diffuse the bomb at 3AM, whilst I was asleep.
Only to had not come out of Van Dells secret base, they had not been seen since, which was over 8 hours ago.The police suspected they were being held hostage.
"We're going to die, Alana. The police have blocked off all entrances and exits to Swellview, we can't get out." Mom said whilst crying. I'd never seen her that upset before.
I grabbed my moms shoulders.
"We're not going to die, Mom. Okay? We're not. Going. To. Die." I said in a stern voice.
She nodded her head with tears streaming down her face.
"Now, i'll be right back okay?" I reassured her, as I walked out the front door calmly.
As soon as I shut the front door I ran, I was panicking, my heart was beating like crazy.
I ran to Junk N' Stuff and banged on the door, the lights were on, but nobody answered.
"Oh god oh god oh god!"
I felt helpless, I had to do something, Captain Man and Kid Danger were in trouble, and I had to do something.
"Think Alana think!" I shouted in my head. While pacing around the front of the store. I didn't care that I fell out with Henry or I got fired, they needed help. And if the police couldn't, I could.
Until I thought of something, my heart stopped.
Remember when I got the job of Girl Danger? I went up to my room and I hid my gumball tube under a picture frame. I don't remember taking it out, because the next day I got a second gumball tube, which I left in my school bag, in which Ray took back when I got fired.
And did he ask for it back? No. He forgot about it. And so did I.
I ran back home, as quick as I could. I climbed up the tree to my bedroom and opened the window.
I got inside and ran to the picture and threw it off my wall, followed by a huge "crash sound". Which was a bit dramatic, but I wasn't thinking straight.
I couldn't see anything, I had lost hope. Sat on my bed and buried my face into my hands, I indeed, was helpless.
Until I heard a rolling sound at the corner of my room, a small plastic tube with glowing gum balls inside, I don't know how it got all the way to the corner of my room.
I ran up to it and threw the cap off, this was my chance, my chance to save the town, and to save Captain Man and Kid Danger. It was my chance to be Girl Danger again.
I popped a gumball in my mouth dramatically and chewed, I transformed into my super suit, it fit like a glove.
I was Girl Danger, and I was going to save the town.
