"Where is she? Where is she? WHERE IS SHE??" Veer barged in as soon as Arjun opened the door.

"Would you stop shouting?" Arjun already had an infant who cries her lungs out all night, he did not want another person to blow off his ears.

"No, I won't. Not till I see her." Veer was impatient.

"What's going on here?" Mayera entered the scene, listening to all the commotion. In her arms was Navya.

As soon as he saw her, he rushed over to her. "Oh my, God! She is so small!"

"So what size did you expect her to be? A bulldozer?" Arjun rolled his eyes and sat on the couch.

Veer would have come back at his sarcastic comment, only if he wasn't too busy looking at the little angel.

"Mayera, can I?" He opened his arms.

Mayera slowly put the little baby in arms, adjusting her neck. She could see happiness and excitement oozing out of his eyes.

Veer was abroad for the inauguration of his new restaurant. He had kept the dates in a way that he wouldn't miss Navya's birth, but because Mayera got into labor two weeks before her due date, he couldn't be there with them. He finished his work there as soon as possible and flew back to meet his niece.

"I can't believe I wasn't here when you were born! Why do the most important things in your life happen only when I am not here?" He asked, pissed at his luck.

The last time also, when Arjun and Mayera had that major fight in his office that made Mayera leave Delhi, Veer was not in the city to witness it.

"It is a way of God to tell you that you're not important enough for us." Arjun chuckled.

"You know, you can say as much bullshit you want but you can't remove me from your life. I might not be important to you, but I am very special to Mayera. Ain't I, darling?" He winked at her.

Arjun hated when he flirted with his wife. "I would suggest you stop winking at my wife before I snatch your eyes out of their sockets."

Mayera giggled at them. They were always like this, pulling each other's legs.

"I am not scared of you. And now I've Navya too." Veer cooed at the baby. "Right, baby? Veer chachu is going to love you so much."
