Finding You

Chapter 14

Serena's POV

Happiness was one such thing which was rarely available in my life. My childhood went pretty slow, then I moved to a new place, which turned out to be a worst condition I could had ever imagined, and now, the ego of mom.

But now, I can feel something good. Something that I had always wanted. One thing, which I touching right now. One person, whom I never expected to be on my side....

Ash...

We both were now running towards the main gate of the spring festival fair, holding each other hands. I could feel the pulse of Ash's body through his fingers, and I guess he is feeling the same thing of mine. He did something which never happened in my life, he went against my mom's ego and completed his promise. I am glad I am with a person like him.

As we reached the main gate, we stopped. Both me and Ash were panting hard. We both then managed to stop and turn to each other. We both stare at each other for a while and laughed.

"That's was one kind of an escape!" I said.

"I know right? I was seriously scared if this plan would work or not. Am glad it worked!" he replied.

"Whose plan was this?" I asked.

"It was Mike. He just made this plan after whatever happened yesterday." He replied.

"Oh... um Ash... I am sorry what happened yesterday." I said with a low voice. I know, all the things happened yesterday must had hurt him. I even don't know if he would accept this apology.

"It's ok Serena." He replied. Still I wouldn't accept this. Sadness was still filled on my face. But then, something happened which gave me chills throughout the body. Ash grabbed my hand and looked directly into my eyes.

"I mean it Serena. It's really ok." He said. I was just surprised on his action of holding my hand.

"But Ash- "I was interrupted by him.

"I don't know why was your mom acting like this, but there must be some reason. And I respected that." He replied.

"So why you came back?" I asked.

"Isn't it's obvious? Of course, for you. Your mom ordered us not to come there again, and we didn't. it's just I entered from the backdoor instead of the main door. As easy as you hear it." He replied, to which I laugh a little.

"You seriously one different piece of meathead." I said, to which he laughed.

The smile on his face and the surrounding surely match for each other. The happiness and this sensation of smile... I am feeling for the first time.

"Oh, man, where are they? Have they been caught?" he said while looking around searching for Mike Gary and Dawn.

"Ash, what happens if mom caught both of us?" I asked, with tension arising inside my mind.

"Don't worry, it won't happen." He replied.

"How can you be so sure?" I asked.

"Because I am here for you." He replied. This answer just made me to skip a heartbeat. This is the first time someone is with me like this.

"Ash......" I said, seeing directly into his eyes. And he was doing the same thing. For a moment, it felt like the time around us has stopped. For moment, it felt like I was seeing something which I meant to see. We both were just staring towards each other with our own thoughts. Suddenly, we heard Ash's name being called.

"Hey Ash!"

We both turned around and saw it was none other than Gary, walking along with Dawn and Mike.

"Oh, you all are back! That's great!" Ash said.

"Indeed, we are back. But did we disturb you two love bird's moment?" Gary asked to which chills went through both mine and Ash's body. We both started blushing heavily.

"THAT'S NOT THE THING." Ash replied with total embarrassment all over his face. Seeing this they all laughed and I also laughed a little. It's really fun to see Ash like this.

"I am sorry for this thing Serena." He said, while rubbing back of his head and little blush still on his face.

"It's alright." I replied, with a smile, having a little blush on my face.

"So, should we all go in now? It's literally the first time I a visiting this fair." Mike said.

"Alright, let's go in." Gary replied and May's hand. Ash followed them along with Mike.

"Hey Mike." I said to which he stopped and turned around towards me.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Um... thanks for all of this." I said to which he made a small smile.

"It was my pleasure." He replied. We both then followed the others in the fair.

Something's really strange with Mike. Whenever I talk to him, it felt like he's... kind of familiar. It feels like... it's like a part of myself.

Mike's POV

We all were now roaming around the fair, and visiting various stalls and kiosks. It was the first time I came to a fair, and that too with my... family. We were now heading towards the light show. Gary said it's the first time they were doing this. Since the fireworks was delayed 2 hours, we thought of spending our time watching it. As we were walking, we reached a stall where it was written 'Wish Tabs'.

"What's that place?" I asked.

"Oh that? That's where you can just get wooden Tab and write your wish." Dawn replied.

"I don't get it." I said.

"Basically, it's a culture in every spring festival where people come and write their wishes on these wooden tabs. By the time when the moon is at the highest peak, these wooden tabs are hanged on ropes so that these wishes become true." Dad explained.

"Oh, that's interesting. Should we try it?" I asked.

"Am ok with it." Gary said.

"Same here." Dawn said.

"What about you Serena?" dad asked.

"Alright." She replied with a nod. We all then proceeded the stall and asked the keeper there to give us 5 wooden tabs.

"Remember not to tell your wishes to anyone. Keep it private." The keeper said while handing us the tabs to which we all nod. I took a personal space and started thinking what should I write. I turned around and saw everyone's face. All of them were smiling. This made my heart light and I turned back to the wooden tab. I started moving the pen and finally wrote the thing I was thinking the most and wanted the most.

I want everyone's wishes to be true.........
