Chapter 6

Mike's POV

"And this is our way my home." Dad said while pointing towards a colony. We were now just wandering around the place. Dad or I can say 'younger' dad wanted to show me around. To be honest, the places around here are very familiar. I guess, I have visited these places in my present time.

As we all were walking, we came across a huge white colour mansion. Wait, I don't remember this place. I never noticed this thing is here.

"Um, da- I mean Ash, who's house is this?" I asked.

"Oh, this is the mayor's house. He now though lives in Jacksonville I guess, but his family is still here." he replied.

"Oh, I see." I replied.

"You know, the daughter of the mayor is so cute! Man, whenever I see her, I just become fond of her." Dad's friend, Brock said.

"Oh, shut up Brock. We all know you fell for every girl present in this universe." Drew replied.

"That's not true Drew! I only fell for the girl whom I like." Brock said.

"And that girl is literally everyone." Gary whispered to which all of us started laughing. On the other hand, Brock was annoyed on seeing all of this.

I guess, dad had a great childhood along with his great friends who were connected to him.

As we all started walking, I last time turned around to see the mayor's mansion, I don't know why, but I am having a feeling that someone I know pretty much lives here. I just shook of my head and continued walking with them.

"Ah, it's getting late now. I guess, I will just head back home now, otherwise mom's goanna make me a punching bag." Brock said.

"Yeah, same here. I will be also leaving for now. My uncle told me to meet him near the Science centre in the early evening, but it's late." I replied.

"You want us to come with you?" dad asked.

"Nah, it's fine. I can go on my own." I replied.

"So, will meet you all tomorrow after 2. See you!" Brock said and left, along with Drew. Dad, I and Gary were only left now.

"Alright, I guess we both should also leave. We will tomorrow, right?" dad asked. to be honest, I don't have any answer to this question. I don't know what to say. But the truth is that I want to say meet you tomorrow. But I don't know.

"Well, yes. I guess. I don't know. Might be busy tomorrow." I replied.

"Oh, it's alright. We will meet for sure. In the future for sure." He replied. This line caught my ears. It really felt that these lines were really from dad. I want to hug him, but I can't. I guess, I will just pass.

"Alright, see you. Bye!" I replied and started walking straight and didn't wanted to turn around, holding my feelings hard.

As I continued walking, it felt like my surrounding are unfamiliar. Ah shit! I guess I am lost. There's even no one around here. As I was just spectating around the place, I noticed the white mansion there. I think that's the mayor house. I my get help from there. I guess.

As I approached the house, a very unexpected sound came as I entered the main gate.

"WHAU!"

I turned my head and saw an untied dog. Oh shit! It seems to be angry! I AM NOT A THIEF! The dog started barking more loudly.

"Hey! Keep quiet!" I said, but instead of listening to me, he started running towards me. O SHIT!

I accelerated myself to full throttle to protect myself from the dog. It started following me, barking continuously and loudly.
