Chapter 16

Serena's POV

"Dawn?" I asked.

"Yeah?" she said. We all were now heading towards the hilltop of the town to watch the fireworks, which was like just be starting in 5 minutes.

Today, many things have happened, and turns out it had one thing which was missing in my life...joy... Everyday has a fixed duration of time, but today... it felt like the time was just passing with some more speed.

I don't know if a day like this would ever come in the future or not, but I want to do all the things that matter, the all the things I want to. I don't want to conserve my feelings deep down inside, but want to express them.

"Daw, can I have a word with you?" I asked.

"Sure, continue." She said, but I turn my head towards the boys who were just walking in front of us. I wanted to talk to her on personal.

"Um, I want to talk in personal..." I said.

"Oh, just wait here for a second." She replied and turned towards the boys.

"Hey, me and Serena are going to the washroom, will meet you 3 here only." Dawn said.

"Alright." Gary replied. We both then went on the opposite side towards the female laboratories. As we reached there, Dawn turned towards me.

"Yeah, what happened? Something's wrong?" she asked.

"Um... I need some help from you..." I replied.

"And that is...?" she asked.

"Uh... how did you...." I stopped, since I was feeling embarrassed asking her something like this.

"How I...?" she asked, Ah crap, how can I ask her. It's literally very embarrassing asking someone something like this.

"Um... how did you... confessed...?" I asked

"Oh, you mean, how I confessed Gary?" she replied, to which I nod slowly. She giggled on seeing me.

"Why you want to know? Want to confess Ash?" She asked, to which chills went through my body. My face turned into a tomato. I was blushing hard.

"That's not I me-meant! I j-just wanted t-to know! Th-that's all!" I replied, with an embarrassed tone. She giggles in reply and keeps her hand on my shoulder.

"Serena, it's clearly visible that you like him." She said, to which I sighed in defeat.

"Yes, it's true... I like him..." I said.

"Gotcha!" she replied.

"But... I don't know how should I tell him this." I said.

"What's the problem? Just go to him and tell him." She replied.

"That would be total awkward moment. I don't want to mess up." I said.

"Hmm... nice point. You know what? Just confess him during the fireworks." She replied.

"During the fireworks?" I asked.

"Yes! It would be the best time for anyone to confess. It would be so romantic!" she replied, with a little power. The fireworks... that might work. But the main problem is not this.

"But... something else is also disturbing me..." I said.

"What is it?" she asked.

"Will Ash will say yes? What will be his reaction? He helped me so much and gave me the best day of my life till now. My feelings for him got more and more today. But... but are these feelings and emotions for me are same from Ash?" I asked. Dawn, in reply, made a small smile.
