Maria was trying not to die from a heart attack as Alexander turned to her.
"Where's the makeup?" he asked in a slight Russian accent.
"Oh right, Maria always wore thick makeup." She forgot about that, but she never wore much make up anyways, there was no need for it in a hospital.
"Shoot! What am I supposed to say? Maria was rude to everyone, but enough people already hate me. I can't add more to the list. But it would be suspicious if she just started being nice all of the sudden,"
Her solution was to ignore the question completely. "If I can't think of anything to say, I won't say anything,"
"Are we going now?" she asked in a dull tone.
"Sure," they walked out of the dorms, with his hands behind his head and her eyes on her schedule.
Her first class of the day was Language Arts with Mrs. Twilight, so she made her way there.
"No breakfast?" Alexander asked.
She just shook her head. She did feel a bit hungry, but she wanted to get her classes over with. Plus, going to the cafeteria where loads of people would stare at her didn't sound fun.
They made it to her classroom, but Alexander stayed with her until she got inside. The few students ignored her, but the professor walked up to her.
Professor Twilight was an old woman, with a tight gray bun, dark brown skin, and scowl on her face. She glared at Maria from behind her spectacles.
"Mrs. Bonaparte, you will be seating in a special seat over there, is that understood," She asked as she pointed to a desk on the other side of the room. The desk was separated from the rest, and was much smaller too. It was also closer to the front of the room than what she wanted, but Maria figured that was to keep a closer eye on her.
"Yes Professor Twilight," she said in what she hoped was a polite enough tone.
She sat down at the desk and opened up her book bag. It had an ink well, some feather pens, and her notebooks and textbooks for her classes. She took out her supplies and looked up at the clock. It was only 7:42, class started at 8. Maybe she should've gone to breakfast.
Students started trickling in and finding their spots. She could feel their eyes on her neck, so she leaned down and read the introduction of her textbook.
"Year 1 Language Arts will cover the basic great works of our great nation Lorithla, and various ways to write the basic stories, poems, and letters,"
"Mr. Miller, I hope you will refrain yourself from flirting in the middle of class,"
Maria looked up, but quickly looked back down.
"Oh no, they're here!" It was the love interest, all of them. Well, all the main ones, but they were the most dangerous ones, because they all hated Maria more than anything else in the world.
"I'll make sure he doesn't distract the class, Ms."
"Professor Twilight to you, Mr. Frost. But yes, do try to keep your friend under control,"
"That should be easy. Arthur isn't a very complicated person, just dangle a spider in front of him and he'll shut right up,"
"HEY!" Arthur yelled.
"I'll be separating the two you, Mr. Winceforce, go to the opposite side of the room, and Mr. Crown, go with him to make sure he doesn't cause any problems,"
"Yes Professor. Twilight," Jack Crown, the prince, said in the polite tone he was known for. She scooted closer to the wall as they walked closer to her. She kept her head down the entire time until they walked past her.
