"It wasn't a dream after all," Maria thought as she woke up the next morning.
"I don't know if I should be upset or happy about that yet,"
She turned and looked at the clock on the bedside table.
"It's 7:05 again. Since I know what I'm doing now, maybe I can squeeze in some breakfast,"
She found the menu for room service in the sitting room, and phoned the service. She ordered a simple meal of bacon and eggs, and then went to the bathroom to get ready.
"So these people have phones and electric lights, why is their fashion so far behind?"
"Well, this game was made by a Japanese company, so I guess they just mismatched a bunch of western stuff together for their world building,"
"I really shouldn't be complaining though. If this was just a full Victorian world, I wouldn't even have a phone or bathroom,"
She finished getting dressed in a ruffly deep red dress with black as the food came in.
"If everything else in my new life is going to suck, I'm glad the food doesn't" she thought before she dug into her breakfast.
After that she brushed her teeth, and decided to put on some makeup.
"Purple eyeshadow should look good, right?"
It took longer than she would've hoped, but she did manage to make it look nice. Or nice enough at least.
"Well this makes me less suspicious?" she wondered as she looked in the mirror and brushed her teeth.
She went on to gather her school supplies until she heard a knock on the door. She grabbed her school bag and opened the door.
It was Alexander, and he once again did a look over on her.
"You chose to wear makeup today?" he asked.
"Does it look bad?" she asked. "Shoot! Maria won't say that,"
"It's. . .good, I guess. Did you get your school supplies ready?"
She nodded.
"Then let's get going," he turned around and started walking away.
He dropped her off at her language arts class. Professor Twilight glared at her, but didn't say anything.
She moved to desk and watched from the corner of her eye as students started trickling in.
The love interest all came in a pack, and she ducked her head once she saw Jack.
For a brief second she could feel his eyes on her, but then they left her to look at someone even more dangerous.
It was Scarlet Rosemary, the main character, the center of the harem, the one Maria Bonaparte cursed.
She watched as Professor Twilight sat Scarlet down between Jake and Mason.
"At least that's nowhere near me," she thought as Professor Twilight started the lesson.
An hour and a half later, the bell finally rang. She again waited until she was the last one in the class.
History and math class were the same. She wrote down everything that teachers said, and prayed that none of the love interests would look at her.
Finally it was time for her community service. Alexander followed her to the library, where the librarian sat behind their desk. They looked up for one second before going back to reading their book.
