"Why am I back here?" she asked. The bedroom was gone, and instead she was standing in the white void.

It wasn't completely empty. There were two gravestones, both looking shiny and brand new.

The first said "Lily Smith 1"

"What does the one mean?" she thought.

The second one said something familiar "Maria Bonaparte 2"

"Oh, these must be my lifes!" she realized.

"But why am I here then?" she thought. Before she could think about it anymore, the world went dark.

"What a weird dream." she thought to herself. She let out another yawn before looking over at the clock.

"7: 50 . . . I'm late again!"

She jumped out of bed and hurried through her morning routine. The dress she picked was probably too exuberate for school, but by the time she noticed it was too late, and she was standing in front of Alexander.

"That's a choice," she heard him whisper before she started dragging him down the halls.

She made it just in time before the bell rang. As soon as she sat down, Professor Twilight started the lesson on how to properly write essays.

"It's vitally important that you don't lie on your essays, it shows a lack of integrity, and more importantly, will give you a zero,"

Maria felt the professor's eyes on her, but she continued to keep writing down notes.

As the bell rang for the class to end, Professor Twilight said "Miss Bonaparte, stay here,"

She did as she was told, and once the other students left the room, she asked "Is something wrong Professor?"

"Yes there is, I've been told you were planning on cheating for your essay. Is that true?"

"I-uh,"

"There's no point of lying, is there?"

"I was going to Professor Twilight,"

"And what compelled you to do so? It's a rather easy assignment?"

"I-um-have bad memory, so I don't really remember my summer vacation well enough to write about,"

"Really?" Professor Twilight asked "You can't remember anything, anything, to write about?"

She shook her head. "Sorry Professor,"

"You should be sorry, I'm going to have to use that wretched stone,"

"What do you mean?"

"You'll find out soon enough,"

She watched as the professor walked over to their desk and grabbed something from it.

As they walked back, she noticed it was a small yellow stone.

"With this stone, you can only answer my three question with the truth,"

Maria's eyes widened, but she didn't move an inch.

Once the stone was in effect, her stomach started twisting and her heart started beating too fast in her chest.

"Why did you try to cheat on the essay,"

"Because I have no memories to write about," the words came before she could try to stop them.

"No memories at all?"

"None,"

"Why do you have no memories?"

"Because I wasn't there to make them,"

As soon as the last word left her mouth, the magic stopped and her body returned to normal.

Professor Twilight looked between her and the stone.

"Well, it appears you are telling the truth about your lack of memories, so I will let you make up whatever you want on essay, as long as it's all formatted correctly,"

"Thank you Professor," she said as she hurried to collect her things and move on to her next class.

But before she left, she turned back and asked.

"Why did you not question me more?"

"Because there's a three question limit, I'll have to wait for it to recharge until I can ask again. And remember, once it does, you'll back here again for more questioning,"

Maria gulped before nodding. "Yes Professor, bye Professor,"

"What were you doing?" Alexander asked as he started walking away.

"Oh, just being interrogated about my bad memory,"

"She used the truth stone on you, didn't she?"

"She did,"

"Hmm you're luckily that you don't have any side effects, those always hurt,"

His comment made her curious, but it flew past her mind as she hurried to catch up with him.
